Lazlo Woodbine Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 You know who I fucking love? Taka Michinoku. 3
TimLivingston Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 I gotta see that Barry Houston/Super Calo match. Nice to see Del Rio with his papa.
BurningBeard Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 so where/when did that Savage/Liger match take place? I've never heard anyone mention that EVER
Illinois Smith Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 oh abby you big old lovable bloodsoaked completely insane goofball you
Kevin Wilson Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 so where/when did that Savage/Liger match take place? I've never heard anyone mention that EVER The match took place in New Japan on 7/17/96. It was on a card with a lot of WCW talent, it actually had a Giant vs. Sting match for the WCW Heavyweight Championship as well.
NikoBaltimore Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 For those that want to see the match, here you go. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bw4_bE5LdwE 4
Matt D Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 I wanted to highlight Trips given his great podcast appearance but most of his gifs are just ridiculous. This is all I have. 4
supremebve Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 You know who I fucking love? Taka Michinoku. The spaceman plancha is one of my favorite dives ever. Jumping and landing on the high assed WWE ropes is ridiculous in itself but being able to dive halfway down the aisle is incredible. I really wish he would have signed in WCW instead of WWE, just so we could have seen him against that murderer's row of cruiserweights they had at the time.
Sublime Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Taka makes a sit out bodyslam look so damn hurty when most people who bust it out make it look kinda lame. It is a shame he didn't end up in WCW or Vince didn't put more behind the lightheavyweight title.
Pete Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 TAKA turns 41 next month. That is so depressing. 1
Playa Shunna Ver 3.0 Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Seriously. I feel like we missed out on so much of his career. I missed his entire 30s. I remember seeing him in ECW. Immediately I like the heel Michinoku Pro group better than the faces. Then he goes WWF. IT was pretty awesome.
Ace Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 That could have been a good angle, but the hamster was back on TV the following week, no-selling the beating and making poopy jokes. To be fair, he is a Wonder Hamster.
Dewar Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 The Gambler's outfit in that gif deserves all the likes, and all the monies. Can't believe I have never seen that before.
Playa Shunna Ver 3.0 Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 I hope Jericho asks HHH about Puppet H and we find out he did the voice.
TimLivingston Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 My favorite part of the Weird Al Show/Macho Man thing is that obviously when he drops the elbow, it's a Twinkie. Nothing funnier.
Guest Stefanie Without Stefanie Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 My favorite part of the Weird Al Show/Macho Man thing is that obviously when he drops the elbow, it's a Twinkie. Nothing funnier. Maybe if it had been a Twinkie wiener sandwich instead.
Hooks Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 The Gambler's outfit in that gif deserves all the likes, and all the monies. Can't believe I have never seen that before. I've always wondered if he had to get a new deck of cards pretty often or if someone at ringside picked up the ones he threw and gave them back to him in the locker room. No really, I've always actually wondered that. 1
Sammo~! Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Damn, Macho Man really put over Liger in that match. It was kind of rough seeing him limp around like that just walking to the ring though.
piranesi Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 Those straps are playing 0% part in keeping that top on. They are purely ornamental.
