Interested in:

- How Barao comes back and if the weight cut really had an effect on how the first fight went down

- If Tony Ferguson can get Castillo out of there and actually be more than random TUF winner #35

- I guess the same above for Ferreira (but replaced TUF with Legacy FC champ) since everyone semi decent has stopped Nijem brutally

- If Birchak upsets Soto like a lot of people believe he can

- Cejudo just because 125 needs him to be good

The rest of the card has catastrophe potential (especially Larkin vs. Brunson, Potts vs. Hamilton, & CrankDatBethe vs. Four Horsewoman jobber). I'm indifferent on the Damon Jackson fight because it's on extremely late notice and a weight class up.

Imagine if Eddie Mustafa Muhammad didn't screw up 31 years ago and made weight against Michael Spinks. MMA probably never would've adopted the weigh-in 24 hours before if boxing didn't do it.

The weigh in 24 hours rule has probably done more bad than good in the long run though. The risk/ reward of weight cutting with 24 hours to recover makes fighting in a massively underweight division an attractive proposition. If it was six or twelve hours, it's a much greater risk for a much lesser reward. But you'd also have a lot of fights getting cancelled the day of the show when people couldn't make weight, so swings and roundabouts, really.

To add to the complete mess of a PPV, apparently a UFC production truck caught on fire last night.

You know things are bad when Dana is calling out Meltzer in the prelims.  Although Dana's logic that people should still spend $45 - $60 for a PPV because guys have been trained like animals for months and month is just laughable.   Maybe you should pay them better if you are that worried about guys getting compensated better for their hard work.

That was expected, except not in that length.

Joe Soto was such a huge underdog that they were pushing any strikes he landed in highlights in between the rounds.

Bethe is 2-0 against 4 Hoursewomen and there's slim to no chance she'll fight Marina Shafir and she has the best set of wins at WMMA 135 lbs. in the UFC so she should get the next shot at the title against Ronda.
