So question: Is the Steve Perry (former Journey lead singer) Fanfic site Perrytales still active?

I've had a helluva time trying to find it. It was the very definition of a "trainwreck" website

James

Speaking of gone but not forgotten train wrecks, anyone remember "Rom and Me?" Wow....nightmare fuel and then some...

Every possibility of character mashups for 410 pages.  i.e. every single possibility of writing that is 410 pages or less.  Like the "1000 monkeys on a typewriter will eventually produce Shakespeare" thing.  Most are garbage, but there is a book in there somewhere that tells your entire life story including how you're going to die, a book that talks only about DVDVR, a work of fiction that is possibly better than anything ever written, etc.  Your mind explode.

Similar to this, Permuda Triangle at http://twitter.com/permudat is a twitter account that's tweeting out all possible combinations of 140 characters.  It's sending 2400 tweets a day though so you probably don't want to follow it.

It really is amazing.  There's a joke that 3 captions work with every New Yorker cartoon, and they all work with these.

For the record, they are:

"What a misunderstanding."

"Christ! What an asshole!"

"Hi!  I'd like to add you to my professional network on LinkedIn."
