I passed a business on the way home yesterday on Centrailia Road in Chester, VA called Dean's House of Hair & Nails.. Nah.. Couldn't be.. I'm with Jaedmc on this, heavy stuff like Ferguson is best discussed outside of the board. I personally find this board to be an escape to check out wrestling or gaming news. It's generally light-hearted and I'm cool with that. I have a strong opinion on stuff, but go elsewhere. Now I do have an opinion on how the Ferguson thread got axed, but with all that's gone on I'll keep my mouth shut. I've seen the tail end of the sleaze thread, the politics forum, the porn forum and whatever else come and go. Save for the sleaze, it started simple enough. I was even digging the political one. But things went south quickly, and it's easy to see over time why things aren't tolerated. It's not that there weren't attempts to talk about these subjects, it's just that they got fucked up by some bad apples and that's a shame. And with that those in charge washed their hands of it all. If you saw the way things went it's easy to see why. Some things I don't agree with, but I'm cool just spending my time here on wrestling/gaming stuff. So much so, that many companies have them forbidden from water cooler discussion. Money that comes out of Dean's pockets, Rippa's pockets, etc. Not my pockets. Little known fact, a long, long time ago (before Nova invented wrestling and Lance Storm wasn't boring on purpose), DEAN and certain of the PLAYAZ realized that a time might come when an Angry Young Man (or Woman, or Being of Confusing Gender) with too much time on their hands and too little mind and nothing much constructive to do with either would, through a peculiar and ill-deserved sense of entitlement come to the conclusion that due to being told not to post about politics, poop fetishes, or Jimmy Valiant and glass tables that somehow their rights as an individual to bray like a jackass in a public place were being denied them and it would (in the interest of fair play) therefore be necessary to create a "Certificate of Absolute Freedom". The possessor of said certificate could ignore Board policy and common decency and post whatever they liked without fear of censure. The certificate would be hidden, where only the most pigheaded determined individual would be likely to unearth it. As the resident champion of fair play, I was tasked with securing the certificate in a safe place. DEPT OF NOW IT CAN BE TOLD: The decision was a close one, either beneath Naimark's BBQ pit or in Meng's rose garden. After a good deal of soul-searching, the decision for the latter locale held sway and there, just in front of his prize-winning "American Beauties" lies the cigar box that holds not only the Certificate, but coupons for a 15% discount at DEAN'S Hair & Nails and a "BUY ONE, GET ONE FREE" Dinner Coupon for Abdullah the Butcher's House of Ribs and Chinese Food. It now falls upon our intrepid Angry Young Thing and constitutional scholar to retrieve said coupon and post to their heart's content. Yes, the owner of the rose garden may object strenuously to excavations on their property, but surely one who stands ready to argue with the moderators at every turn is not going to be dissuaded by a man in his fifties named "Uliuli Fifita"? Despite how it might seem we actually have some of the most patient and even tempered mods around. Its when people start taking advantage of how lenient our mods that things get out of hand. Don't be stupid, don't force the hands of the people that keep this place somewhat civilized. If someone pisses off our mods or founders to the point that they just want to give up and shut this place down, I'm going to be very upset. VERY UPSET~!
