there was an eminem song that played during the credits of black ops

Ah - so the use Sympathy For The Devil again and Wont' Back Down (the song with Pink that was used in the MI: Ghost Protocol trailer that made that movie look amazing for some reason)

I forget which Halo game it was, but they used "Blow Me Away" by Breaking Benjamin during one of the final big battles, and my then-teenage self thought it was amazingly badass at the time.

Speaking of Breaking Benjamin, Run Like Hell used "Home" by them for a bossfight. It was the best part of the game.

Does Crush 40 stuff in the Sonic games count?

And the answer to the thread is really the PS2 Def Jam games. "Walk With Me" playing over the end credits of Fight for NY was amazing.

It was Halo 2 and that was badass, even though Breaking Benjamin usually sucks. I hope they keep that part in tact for the Master Chief Collection.

If you're pulling something from Halo 2, it needs to be the theme from Halo 2, Mjolnir Mix, that Steve Vai is wrecking shit on...that was fucking epic, just saying.  I think that is the only video game song that is on my phone.

if this is even eligible for that sort of thing.  I'm pretty sure bits and pieces of this play at different parts through one of the games, if not both halo 2 and 3...it's been so long since I played them I honestly can't remember

Good topic. The Twisted Metal: Black one is amazing. Was always blown away by the videos in that game, awesome stuff. Dig the Tony Hawk ones too, especially Guerilla Radio.

Two of my favorites come from two of my all time favorite games. Dreamfall: The Longest Journey's soundtrack with songs by Magnet and "Rush" by Ingvlid Hasund were perfect. All that's on YT is fan videos though. The other is Indigo Prophecy, always loved it's Theory of a Deadman soundtrack. Both incredible adventure/story games that I wish there were more like. Great ending to a great game

And if this counts, my all time favorite ending/credits ever in a game, in another top favorite game. Cynthia Harrell's "I Am the Wind"

The first time beating a game felt like the end of a movie to me.

Also, each one of these were awesome:

SD vs RAW had some great soundtracks at times, always enjoyed when those had a real soundtrack. My favorite probably being the first one with Breaking Benjamin, Core, Tantric, Zebrahead, etc. But LoW had the absolute best intro videos.

Someone brought up Fallout earlier, and it reminded me of the usage of "I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire" by the Ink Spots. Fucking amazing, it synced up so well with the theme of Fallout 3. It was eerie and creepy and amazing all at the same time.

I think we could throw in just about every song from Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas here somewhere.

BIG IRON ON HIS HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIP!

And walking around the casinos and stuff on the strip while Frank Sinatra sings "Blue Moon" is pretty awesome.

I don't even like dubstep since I am over the age of 15, but this was a pretty damn awesome mission in Far Cry 3 and the music was appropriate.

Ah, dubstep.  If only Borderlands 2 had kept Doomsday by Nero in the game instead of only using it for the trailer.
