mco543
I always hated the figures with the "press slam" feature, (Luger, Bulldog, Warlord, Borga, Warrior #3, Demolition Ax) You couldn't even clothesline anyone! The next worst was the more rare "snap mare" feature (seen above w 123 Kid, Rick Rude and Ric Flair) What exactly are these guys supposed to be able to do? Headlock and punches. My least favorite was probably the Snuka/Rockers/Kamala/Hawk feature where the legs are springloaded. The purple Warrior where the feet pushed in and his arms swung was kinda weird too. I don't think anyone else had that particular action feature.
Pete
My favorite all time action figure is the Rey Mysterio figure that came as an accesory to the Giant's Toybiz WCW figure. They must have really though a lot of Rey to basically make in an action figure JTTS. I was always darkly amused that the Giant figure had 20-30 points of articulation while the Rey Jr figure had none. Apropos of nothing, Emi HATED cruiserweights for some reason when she was a puppy. She got a hold of that Rey doll plus the Great Sasuke figurine I got at a con somewhere and took them both apart like a serial killer... no joke, all that remained of them were limbless torsos. Pretty sure Ray can confirm.
BurningBeard
yeah the headlock/snap mare figures were the pits... worst of the worst was the WCW Ron Simmons though as it was that pose BUT YOU COULDN'T EVEN MOVE THE ARMS. That punching arm was always in the way making them unusable. I liked the press slam guys though, they were maliable. I think the only decent WCW figures were Sid, Windham, Rick Steiner, Ric Flair, Arn Anderson
The Great ML
Seriously? What was up with those Doom figures? Purple high water sweat pants and white sneakers?

mco543
The Butch Reed and Tom Zenk WCW figures were pretty good too. At least in comparison to Simmons and Luger
BurningBeard
Ah yeah, I think I just ended up using Butch Reed as Ron Simmons looking back (snap bodyslam as a finish). No idea what the outfits were about though
Dolfan in NYC
It won't be so funny when they actually put that on the belt. It will be when they raise the price next year.

Maybe, instead of engraving $9.99 on the faceplate, they can put a small digital screen in the center. That way,, it can display whatever the cost is. Great idea, and when they fire half the wrestlers and raise the price of the network they can display the stock price on the belt for a week as well. Giant Gonzales also had that feature, he was booked strong with it, hammer fist to the top of the head, took out Razor Ramon and Crush en route to his championship victory over Virgil at Wrestlemania.

Yo-Yo's Roomie
Taker had that coat as well as the hat, so he was doubly useless. I hated the figures where the legs weren't separated. Can't put a sharpshooter on those things. Bret Vs Marty Jannetty- always a stalemate.

BEN!
Same year the Galoob figures came out, JusToys produced a line of WCW Bend-Ems figures as well. The Doom Bend-Ems are wearing the same outfits as the Galoob figures. I'm thinking on photo shoot day Doom thought they were only getting shot from the waist up so they only taped their wrists instead of bothering to put on all their gear. Like Galoob's first series Horsemen figures match this photo (minus Ole) and none of the Windham figures had kneepads either...

Skeeball Wizard
I remember being home from school sick as a yute, and my mom bought me a couple wrestling magazines to keep me occupied. In the back of one of them was this ad, which I flipped about. I then demanded my mother go to KB Toys and get me Bam Bam Bigelow, One Man Gang, the Hart Foundation, Killer Bees and Demolition Ax. She returned later that night with Tito Santana and Bruno Sammartino. A river of tears followed. I was an ungrateful little shit.

I remember their ads and their mail order catalog, and I definitely got DiBiase and HTM from them as a youngster. Good times. Don't blame your mom. From what I remember (and this was, what, maybe 87 or 88?), this line of figures was dying out by then and the only place to find the new ones was through specialty outlets like this. CanadianChris
I hated Brian Pillman. He was basically only useful in that pose for cross body blocks and chop blocks. And taking power bombs from Sid. Tom Zenk became Tito Santana with the flying forearm.
