MISC MATCHES

I'm on an Ole Anderson kick. I can't link to WWE Network material but check out the 12/28/1985 episode of World Championship Wrestling for a pretty basic Magnum TA v. Ole Anderson match. Ole is amazing in it, as he cuts off Magnum's comebacks in every little dick heel way he can think of before Magnum just says fuck it and punches his way to control. Magnum's punches are closer to short forearms but the point is made. Its the little things Ole does that make you sit there and realize he really was fuckin' great as angriest old man in wrestling. Cuttign Magnum off with thumbs to the eye, eyerakes, backrakes, tittytwisters and then never forgetting to go back to working the arm. Same show also has a fun Flair/Ron Garvin match but Ole fuckin' Anderson captivated me for 20 minutes simply by being your next door neighbor who legit hates neighborhood kids!

I may have clapped far too long for Sumie Sakai at age 20 after a Mercedez Martinez match in 2002.

That MIGHT have even been the match.

OH HEY. When I was looking for that card to try to figure out if it was one I went to or not, I found this, the card I saw Eddy at during his exodus from WWE. Seeing Eddy from 20 feet away was something else, even if he was wrestling Jimmy Cash and Tim McNeany.

April 12, 2002--WWA from Quincy, MA: Mike Quackenbush b Blind Rage, Danny Davis (the former WWF ref that nobody has heard about in years) b Hilarious, Anthony Roy b Marshall Law, Tre b Lovebug-DQ, Fred Curry Jr. b Purty Kurty, Eddy Guerrero won three-way over Jimmy Cash and Tim McNeany, Jeff Starr & Sgt. Slaughter b Super Machines

Double Edit: Nope, the Sakai match was the June one:

June 21, 2002--New England Championship Wrestling in Somerville, MA: Johnny Idol & Mike Steele b Zaquary Springate III & Kid Trance Springate, Doug Williams (UK, looked great) b Justin Powers, Robin Knightwing & Joey Knight b Mark & Matt Taylor, Slyk Wagner Brown & April Hunter b Bob Evans & Antonio Thomas, Sumie Sakai b Mercedes Martinez to win NECW North American title (apparently a great match), Edwards Xstasy & Ronnie D.Licious b Kevin Grace & Brian Jury, Alex Arion b Maverick Wild, Joey Fleisch b Jonny Storm

We went to that show to see Williams, Fleisch and Storm

Kevin says David was "killed by a blow to the stomach."

Also, Southwest (USA All Star Wrestling) has merged with WCCCW.  And Magnum's gonna be okay!

Paul Heyman on commentary from the NWF.  Playing it straight.  He would have been 21 . . .

Love stuff like this.

Wow.  Joe dropping Steamboat/Savage spoilers.  Did PWTW revealing WWF spoilers piss off New York?  Any fallout from such?
