The 1960s.... It was 50 years ago today.

For anyone that doesn't know him. Eddie Holland was a performer for Motown up until 1964. He retired that year over stage fright. Focused on writing from that point on as part of the Holland Dozier Holland team. Incredible amount of number 1 hits considering they were gone from Motown by 1967. Too bad about the stage fright because Holland was a hell of a singer.

Might as well go with a few more from Motown. This time from the best singer. No point in describing what is great about his voice. He does everything exceptionally. 

 

You can hear the sadness he can convey with his voice in this one. Unlike Keith Sweat he can do it without sounding like he is whining. 

 

 

Might as well finish it off with his brothers big hit.
