Here if you wanna natter. cheer dude, appreciate it. they spoke with the whistleblower last night, and they've confirmed my kid has been involved. They wont say what it is, except for its not happening to just her and that it is not an isolated incident - it's been going on for a while. I am due to speak to the safeguarding officer for the council today, as apparently I need to speak to them in order to get the skinny on what the issue is. I dont give a flying fuck who did it, I just want to know what "it" is, and how i counsel/prepare/help my family. Mrs Red hasnt slept for two days, and I've barely slept - I'm starting to get angry now at the complete lack of information from these cunts. If they don't hire me it's their loss. I don't know why but both times it worked. In this day and age there's good odds that you are more knowledgeable about the line of work than the person who is interviewing you. A lot of these old heads really don't know anything, especially state jobs.
Patrick B.
Mixed feelings on having to get a new car. The Aveo's blue-book value was less than a thousand dollars, so I shouldn't have put any more money into it anyway. I really like my current vehicle...my first new car and my first vehicle lease, so hopefully it works out for me. 2016 Nissan Sentra. Not fond of having to make car payments again, but them's the breaks.
OSJ
While this is certainly minor in the general scope of things, I can only express my outrage that NJPW and AXS fights have been pre-empted by the New Orleans Jazz Festival. Look, I like and enjoy jazz a great deal, however, Friday night is sacred. I get to watch unbridled mayhem for four solid hours (or more) while Mrs. OSJ goes to the casino. She's already departed, assured that I would be comfortable with my usual routine. My Friday night is now ruined and I am pissed. Further, she's hooked the dvd player up in the living room so I can't even watch my "Best of El Samurai" or "Best of Tanahashi" discs. Damn this all to hell, I guess I'll poke around for footage of Johnny Valentine beating the fuck out of people on Youtube.

OSJ
I suspect that Mr. Valentine, were he alive, would be only too happy to punch random Youtubers. By all accounts, he wasn't a very nice fellow.

jstout
I hate this thread, because this happens every time: 1. Life gets so shitty I wanna come here and yell at the wall about it. 2. Go in, read posts and realize I could have it WAY worse. 3. Feel guilty about feeling shitty. I'm a peculiar type of bipolar - I generally don't go manic unless I quit taking my meds, but I either spend my life depressed as shit or angry as hell. I'm currently angry as hell and absolutely anything sets me off. "WHY CAN'T I SWITCH FROM THE TV INPUT TO THE XBOX INPUT ON MY GODDAMN TV REMOTE, IT'S FUCKING 2016 GODDAMMIT!" (rant for another five minutes, at least)... So, man, has work been fun or what...
Red is Dead
Dude - I take this as a place to rant. It's a place where i can get shit off my chest and think things through in my head, by putting it down on paper and reading it back a few hours/days/weeks later. Fuck it - let loose. both barrels. no problem too big, no issue too small. =-=-=-=-=- We found out friday at 4pm. It's unprofessional touch. Red is Dead
Just about holding it together lads, for Helen and for Caitlyn. I find out more at 1630L when the preliminary meeting concludes and we find out if there are going to be charges. The person has been removed from the nursery while the investigation is taking place with the police's co-operation. While it makes her safe, we are actively looking for alternative nurserys. Two questions. How much did the nursery know - it was a whistleblower that brought it to the local education authority's (LEA) attention. how much did the nursery management know about this issue? Neither answer is good. if its they knew nothing, how in the fuck did they know nothing. if they knew it was going on, why did they let it go on. What changes are going to be put in place (the fact I have to verbalise this is whats twisting a knife in my gut right now) to stop this from happening again. The only piece of good news - whatever sort of touch it is/was - her outward normal day to day behaviour hasnt changed. She hasnt withdrawn. She's not said she doesnt want to go back to the nursery. She's not wetting herself. She's not hitting out. She's sleeping. Thats what I'm focussing on - whatever has happened hasnt changed her, as far as i can see. Helen, my wife and my sister Helen (yes it gets confusing) (works for the NSPCC as a safeguarding specialist manager in childline, has been an absolute FUCKING ROCK) and I have been with her since thursday of the past week trying to ensure she's okay and trying to mitigate against whatever may happen. Now to concentrate on making sure wife helen and sister Helen are okay. Then, lagavullin, tallisker or glenturret. I cant decided which one is going to hit my liver hardest. Matt D
You have all of my sympathies. We had a situation a few months ago where we were hearing something of question from the 3 year old, and delved into it to the utmost of our power, overreacting heavily just to be sure before finally deciding that all was okay after all. But the amount of panic in that moment was like little I've felt in my life. So i can imagine the horror. Just reading what you said makes me want to head home right now and be with my kid, just to read it. I'm very sorry for you guys. EDIT: Meant "be with my kid" not "your kid." but that was the stomach falling out feeling I had there which had me typing fast. Sorry for any confusion.
Red is Dead
update. Theres no criminal investigation. Cops found no case. However, further details - Caitlyn was in the main 3-5 year old room. Her trousers were halfway down. No idea about her underwear. Her bottom was touched by the member of staff. That's all we know at the moment. The whistle blower is no longer with the nursery, and the member of staff will not be allowed back into site until such time as the investigation is concluded. Looks to be a malicious call, but my stomach all but dropped out of my toes when i received that call today. Appalled that it's going to take at least a week to fix. Ramsey
You'll be in my thoughts, Red. My Mrs. is an expert in child sexual abuse and is used by the state of Idaho as an expert witness in such cases. If there's anything you'd like me to ask her I'd be happy to. There is no good news here other than your daughter not showing any outward signs of abuse. Hang in there. There are a bunch of nerdy wrestling fans in this side of the pond pulling for you!

Lamp, broken circa 1988
so I have three uncles. One of them is the one that was detailed on the last page. One is an in-law, really. My mother's sister's husband. One of them is my father's last living brother, of whom this post is about. Basically: He lost sixty pounds in two-three months, and had been arguing with his roommate about seeing a doctor. This came to a head when roommate called us and let us know. About an hour later he collapsed. He's in the ER. Doctors have found about a half dozen "suspicious lesions" all over various organs, and also some "definite cancer." He can barely talk above a whisper. I had to scan his Do Not Resuscitate order last night, and this morning my mother is driving from SD to Vegas to be with him. again: I am trying not to ask why the same shadow comes to visit so often. EDIT: He's in hospice care, at home.
Super Ape
I guess now's a good time to say it. My mother-in-law passed away April 22. A week and change before that she was complaining of chest pains and difficulty breathing, so I took her to the hospital, where they first diagnosed her with pneumonia, but after further tests they saw her heart was so bad it was pumping too much liquid in her lungs. they took her to Temple Hospital for tests to see what had to be done, but a few days later she collapsed and died on the way to the bathroom. Congestive heart failure, brought on by a congenital heart defect. The funeral was April 26, and now we're at work settling her debts and other affairs. Red is Dead
Three and a half weeks after the original phone call and i get another call. To say its "99% a malicious call made by a disgruntled ex-worker" They've found no corroborating evidence that C was touched inappropriately or had reason to believe she was in a 1v1 setting. The woman heading the investigation has said she's got 5 more people to talk to, then I've asked her for a full report. So...potentially a whole lot of fuss over nothing, and a big fuck you to the person made the allegation for putting my family through hell for the past month or so...or the workers are closing ranks and shutting up. Either doesnt bear thinking about.
