Also, Noboru Tanaka passed away, best known as the voice of Sosai X in Gatchaman and Gatchaman II passed away. I'd like to think he and Keye Luke (the voice of the Great Spirit of Spectra in BotP) are in afterlife sharing some tea

Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai definitely seems like it would be a more couples friendly type show if anyone is ever looking for one. And also Tada Never Falls in Love.

Tada Never Falls in Love is very cute.

Bunny Girl Senpai seems to have a nice developing romance with an interesting supernatural mystery bent. I wouldn't consider either show great, but they are interesting enough to keep me coming back.

Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken anime is legit good.

The manga is amongst my favorite, has amongst the best art styles out there. It's impossible to translate that to the anime but the style they went with is a damn fine one. It's not over-bloated animation, its actually legit really good. They also have my favorite execution of gaming elements in a fantasy world... it actually has a personality of sort.

I was hesitant to recommend it because the first 2 episodes was exposition. The anime adapt emphasizes the humor of the situation (no edgelord here) and comes off not forced. I highly recommend it.

EDIT: Since so many of my favorite mangas are getting good adapts, I hope some studio is crazy enough to try picking up Fire Punch.

Magical Index Season 3.

So, show has some great animation, nice artwork and character designs. There's some amusing humor...and I still have no idea what is going on. Based on the intro by Touma...he has no idea what's going on either.

Don't worry if it makes sense or not, the  deus ex machina or the gary stu will give you the answer.

The spin-off, A Certain Scientific Railgun, is categorically better in every way. I'm surprised Hollywood hasn't ripped off the premise of Railgun for a young adult series.

Come to think of it, it's very much similar to the situation with Full Metal Panic and it's spin-off Fumoffu.

Full Metal Panic is infinitely more coherent.

Definitely... but Fumoffu amongst the GOAT comedy anime. It's surprisingly popular without being a cult favorite too like so many greats that get overlooked.

Alright moar shit I've watched. I don't know why I started new stuff, I have series that I actually enjoy that I should just finish.

SWORD ART ONLINE II

I was recommended to finish this out after the second half of SAO I was such a fucking disaster. Season 2 was massively better. I miss the world of SAO, but Gun Gale grew on me. Loved the Sinon character. That first major arc was still hamperd by Kirito being fucking great at everything. When it got down to him and Sinon I wanted her to just shoot him "outta nowhere" I really like that the mystery was based on behaviour in the original game. Decisions made, the way you treated people, that shit still matters and some of these people are fucking broken. The last chunk of the season that focused on Asuna and Yuuki was great and emotional. Surprised it was from the same people who made the tentacle porn, rape fantasy stuff from the last season.

SWORD ART ONLINE ORDINAL SCALE

Last night we watched the movie so we could hop into the third season. We all really enjoyed it. I was perplexed by the rules of AR, because it all felt too much like people were actually good at fighting, but I let it go. It honestly did more work to make me like Kirito than than all of the first two seasons. The final battle was super fun, and I marked the fuck out at Asuna coming in with Mother's Rosario.

GOBLIN SLAYER

I had a feeling  as to what was going to happen in the first episode and I was right. The rape stuff makes me terribly uncomfortable. I can only think of maybe a handful of movies that explicitly feature it that I would watch again. My wife and I really liked the concept of the world, since we're D&D nerds, and stuck it out for two more episodes. They reeeeeeally cooled it off after a hot first episode. Honestly I can't remember much of what happened, as I kind of got bored. I guess if you start with Goblin Rape, it's really hard to go back to the "getting to know our heroes and their story" kind of episodes.

HINOMARU SUMO

Enjoying this. I like the sumo flavor to the "I want to be the best" story. The main hero is likeable and not totally perfect, so there's room for growth. I also like the cast of characters as they each of motivations for joining and fill niche's. They don't all blend together like in some shows. Also the closing song is fucking great.

ZOMBIE LAND SAGA

I just watched the first episode and I loved it.  The physicality of it is humorous and the entire premise is bananananannaas. It feels like an origin story to Baby Metal.

THAT TIME I GOT REINCARNATED AS A SLIME

Whole family loves this one so far. Like Goblin Slayer, it has that  "this is an adaptation of our D&D home game"flavor, but over the same amount of episodes I've had way more fun, and there's been more memorable moments. The premise of a dude dying and coming back as a slime feels kind of extemporaneous, but once it settles into the new world, it's totally fun. And while it's not TV-MA like Goblin Slayer, the moments where it does get violent have been satisfying and surprising. Humor, adventure, and I have no idea where it's going, I definitely recommend it.

After finishing Die Neue These, I'm finally onto the original Legend of the Galactic Heroes.  I'm glad I knew going in that the 80s series was all OVAs marketed to people who were already fans of the novels while DNT was aimed at a broader audience; it does as much to explain why certain plot points hit so differently despite being so similar. I'm also just really loving the 80s Artland-ness of it, though I hate the Imperial uniforms.

So this thing from JoJo became a viral meme, with variations using the Prince's "Pussy Control," which is what the song is riffing on.

I like Goblin Slayer because it knows what it wants to be. Kumo Kagyu created this epic fantasy world and just picked a small story to tell from this huge world he created about a dude who only want to kill goblins. All the major Avengers-style Thanos stuff is happening off to the side or off-screen.

Goblin Slayer is like the Daredevil of his own personal MCU...if the Netflix shows were actually truly connected to the MCU.

Crunchyroll and Adult Swim are partnering with Alcon Television Group to produce and distribute “Blade Runner — Black Lotus,” an anime series inspired by Blade Runner 2049, the Oscar-winning 2017 sequel to Ridley Scott’s 1982 classic.

Adult Swim will have the worldwide rights — excluding Asia — to distribute the 13-episode series, which will air on the network’s anime programming block Toonami. Crunchyroll, an anime-centric streaming service, will handle worldwide distribution for its community of more than 45 million registered users and 2 million paying subscribers.

Produced by animation studio Sola Digital and directed by Shinji Aramaki (“Appleseed”) and Kenji Kamiyama (“Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex”), each episode will run for 30-minutes.

As of now, Crunchyroll and its partners are keeping the plot line of the series under wraps, but producers have confirmed the story will take place in 2032 and will include a few familiar faces from the dystopian Blade Runner universe where

So with Netflix doing a new GitS 3DCG anime, what's the next 90s property that they will bring back?

@Cliff Hanger suggests Tenchi.  I wouldn't be shocked if they did a live-action GTO.

Why did you leave out the important part that it involves SAC's director?
