The Man Known as Dan Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 Ambrose looks like he should be hanging with trevor phillips and ron. Fuck, he looks like a dude Trevor would have the good sense to let him do his own shit, because 2 dudes that crazy should not interact. 1
JohnnyJ Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 Maybe 4 or 5 times a year they knock one out of the park. It's been almost 3 months since the post-mania raw and things were getting a little desperate. Everything clicked. Props to creative, props to the performers and props to that crowd who were loud without being obnoxious. Now excuse me while I write some Ambrose fan fiction.
Newb82 Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 Surprised the board isn't popping for the awaited Ziggler/Summer pairing.
The Man Known as Dan Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 Surprised the board isn't popping for the awaited Ziggler/Summer pairing. I will say I'm not sure if someone won a match more in years then Dolph did yesterday.
just drew Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 I was really afraid they were gonna keep gradually pushing apart Bray Wyatt from Rowan & Harper. Good to see them come out together last night...
SolidGoldBomb Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 Ambrose really needs a shirt we can all buy, while he gets one of them for himself and wears that same shirt from show to show.Ambrose just needs a Misfits skull t-shirt w/ the sleeves cuts off and maybe an early Metallica album cover t-shirt also with sleeves cut off, preferably Kill 'Em All or Ride the Lightning. Ambrose strikes me more as a Megadeth guy. Spot on about the Misfits shirt. He's only 28, he's not listening to that old stuff. I'd go with a Pantera - Far Beyond Driven shirt.
SolidGoldBomb Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 Just watched Ambrose's promo on the aftershow. If he and Renee Young weren't dating before... they are now. They are actually a couple....OMG how cool would Dean Ambrose in a wedding angle with Renee be

Bear Wyatt Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 THIS is the Dean Ambrose shirt. Just put in a picture of Seth Rollins getting punched in the face and you've got your next big superstar. 3
Victator Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 Was really disappointed Sandow did not treat Stephanie like she was his daughter. Not beating up Miz is the most heel thing the Wyatts have done. 2
jstout Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 Good God, there possibly couldn't have been a dirtier old man than me during AJ-Paige. I even had Lawler on his worst day beat. They needed an extended hair-pulling sequence while Joey Styles came out of nowhere to scream "CATFIGHT!" Paige is truly something else, but I marked like an 8-year-old when AJ came skipping out. The showing off of the wedding ring has to be some kinda weird angle or something - it had to be encouraged by the WWE.
Patrick B. Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 I'm not much better as I was immediately seeking out screencaps when I read that Rosita had been a part of Adam Rose's crew in recent TV appearances. Would be cool to see her get signed to NXT...for her wrestling ability, yeah, that's the ticket...
Pete Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 Dean Ambrose is still wearing the same clothes he was wearing last night. I imagine he leaves a show, gets in his VW bug and drives alone through the night guzzling a mixture of Dorito dust and Pixie stick dust stirred in with dry Koolaid mix and roofies until he gets to the next arena. The whole time listening to Kill'em All on cassette and screaming Rollins name over and over. In my dream this has been going on for three weeks now. Why is Santino's t-shirt Florida? I think you mean a VW Bus. That dude totally drives a food-wrapper filled van that has some weird hobo bed rigged in the back on top of stereo equipment bought at a pawn shop. Because Dean buys -- not sells -- things at pawn shops. C'mon folks. Get your act together.
Rev Ray Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 Part of what's so good about him is that he never ever breaks character to wink to the audience or even just to try to play to them. He doesn't try to get people to chant things. he doesn't pause when they are cheering to soak it in. He doesn't go on social media to promote his story. He doesn't show up with merch. on (at least in an obviosu way) so that we all know he's in the business of the business or whatever. That stuff even hurts Bryan a little. He's always got that worker's glint in his eye and he's always got one eye on the fans. Which is fine. It's smart. I mean it gets you over. Everyone has learned this, that you have to work the crowd, bring them in, play to them and with them. It's what made Rock so great, right? You have to do it. But Ambrose doesn't. He has that old 1980s stare which totally tunes us out...like how when Savage did his promos. He didn't talk to us, or to Okerlund or to the camera. He talked above us. He talked near a camera but never to it. Hell sometimes he wandered off camera or turned completely around and talked to the wall. We were all invisible to him. All those guys were kind of like that. It wasn't just exactly Kayfabe, but staying in character, and having that character be not part of this world and not part of the business. Out of phase with reality enough that the camera actually isn't there. The fans aren't there. Ambrose almost never acknowledges the crowd. In a weird way, he is uniquely old fashioned and I would guess probably way more into Kayfabe than a lot of other people in this generation. It stands out. Well, I don't think there's a lot of kayfabe there. He's absolutely at least partially crazy. Ever listern to her appearance on The Art of Wrestling or the Onnit podcast? The guy lived in Florida, whent on a European tour with WWE, and while he was over in Europe just said, "I think I'd rather live in Vegas". So he never even flew back to Florida, just went straight to Vegas and lived there. Normal people don't do that shit. I also think the Mexican jail story might be PARTIALLY true. I'd like to think that Dean doesn't even have an apartment in Las Vegas. He either lives behind a casino in a refridgerator box... and not even a good casino, like the casino Eddie took Clark to that had "What number am I think of" as something you could bet on or he knows a guy in the crime scene clean up crew and stays in hotel rooms that are set be cleaned up after murders or suicides because they've been paid for and he doesn't mind the chalk outlines on the floor because the rooms usually have a stash of free porn the previous person had. As far as t-shirts, if he was still Moxley, I would suggest a knock off of the Moxie soda logo except Moxie Man looks like someone who was sitting in the parking lot drinking cough syrup, which ironically is what Moxie tastes like. 1

SirSmUgly Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 All this needed during the last clip was Jim Ross saying "That boy ain't right" while Ambrose kicked at the barrier to make it 100% perfect.

"I'll swallow your soul Seth Rollins" And for suggestions of Roman Reign's new look: how about the Khal Drogo look?
Hollywood Cibernetico Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 I don't know how anyone can praise Trish and Lita while slamming AJ for overshadowing The Divas Division. In 2004-2005 no one else in WWE mattered. WWE fired the three women who could actually work (Kim, Holly, Jazz) and kept one semi-competent worker who was REALLY over, a terrible worker who was REALLY over, and a passable worker who could be trusted NOT to fully stink up the ring. The passable worker was barely over. 1
JRGoldman Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 I like Gregg and others pretending Ambrose listens to Samhain B sides and shit. The dude is basically a homeless man from southern Ohio. I'm pretty sure the only CD he owned was 'WWF: The Music Volume 3'. His favorite song ever is Ken Shamrock's entrance music. 6
muhammedboehm Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 Does this go here or the July thread @TMZ: #WWE Diva Emma: ARRESTED for stealing iPad case... & you won't believe how much it was worth http://t.co/DyP6TlZpWx http://t.co/O0FczO8JQf
Spontaneous Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 Dean needs a logo similar to Black Flag's or the anarchy A, let you know what to expect when Dean arrives

Depending on what happens from this point on, Moxley's life/career could some day make about as good a gritty wrestling movie as anyone's. With WWE being the flashy place that threatens to corrupt him, where suddenly people are waiting on him and offering him all sorts of new ring gear and shit to wear and booze and pills. Dammit, the story is just sitting there...like the prequel to THE WRESTLER mixed with like 8 MILE, THE WILD ONE, and A STAR IS BORN. Someone call Aronofsky and tell him to add a space to that list of his. 1

Overly Critical Man Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 I'm pretty sure Dean Ambrose the character has spent many a night sleeping in a high school parking lot before waking up at 4pm to watch cheerleader practice with an intense look on his face from the bleachers and then when a concerned vice principal confronts him, he threatens to stab him with one of the many ballpoint pens with chains attached to them, that he's stolen from banks. 3
