Sports Entertainment Pipe Dream Booking: ! At the end of the first Akiyama produced show he gives a speech thanking the fans. Out comes an in shape and pissed off TOSHIAKI KAWADA , he throws a bowl of hot ramen in Akiyama's face, blinding him. We are treated to Roku/Youtube videos of Akiyama with patches over his eyes for a few months while contemplating retirement. Then 6 months later Akiyama v. Kawada BLINDFOLD MATCH~!

According to the puroresu spirit facebook and wordpress blog, the name change is purely cosmetic. Instead of being "Zen Nihon Pro-Wrestling" in Kanji, they're going to be "All Japan Pro-Wrestling" in Katakana.  Suwama is back with the Triple Crown, as the Misawa-like company ace. It'll be interesting to see if Suwama goes back to three belts, or if they keep the one-belt design. I'll also be interested to see if AJPW attempts to tie down any of the outsiders they've been using regularly.

Some information about the formation of Akiyama's All Japan. Cable TV Yamagata is the sponsor behind it all. I was initially worried about how Akiyama was going to get the money to run the company, but through mending fences with Motoko Baba, he was able to secure a deal with the station. Their plan is to make All Japan a fan friendly company again, much akin to what Giant Baba did while he was alive. They will broadcast over 100 matches through television (national and cable) and their internet services, and have invested 10% of their capital into All Japan. TVY is worth 100 M yen. They will also be in charge of the new fan club and goods that All Japan produces.

OAN, ticket sales have gone through the roof within the last few days. It's very clear that the boycott from fans had more to do with Shiraishi staying, then Muto leaving.
