odessasteps
I like his horror stuff, his superhero stuff not as much.
Spritenaut 32
Fair enough. I liked most of the DC work he did back in the day, but it depended on the book. Something creepy (Elseworlds Batman book vs. vampires) or supernatural (Deadman, Demon, etc.). Wouldn't have wanted to see him on JLA or Captain America.
odessasteps
Almost can't tell Jones did this, except maybe for the Riddler.

I follow him on some Facebook groups and we have similar tastes in comics from our youth. His art just never wowed me . Todd McFarlane used to get a hard pass from me as well. But he has kind of grown on me over the years.

I really loved his Infinity Inc run... he did some really inventive layouts there.
Brian Fowler
Todd on Hulk is some amazing stuff too.
Justin877
I can concur with the early Infinity Inc. and early Spiderman , Hulk, I tuned out on McFarlane around Spawn everything just started looking the same. In recent years I have warmed back up him though. But then again my favorite Image artists were Jim Lee and Erik Larsen for different aesthetic purposes. Spritenaut 32
I was a big McFarlane fan during the Infinity/Hulk days. Yeah, his layouts were really creative. Costume design was a different story. Rick Tyler's red/purple Hourman costume with the swashbuckler books was.... something.
J.H.
When it comes to Infinity Inc I can't get into it anything after Ordway. Those first 13 issues are still one of my favorite arcs! James

The Unholy Dragon
I'd say Hal is Ric, Guy is Tully, John is Arn, and Kyle is Barry Windham.
Spritenaut 32
IMO, Kyle is closer to Paul Roma...
Matt D
Guy is Sid or Mongo. Hal is really more of an Orndorff anyway.

Brian Fowler
Kyle is definitely Barry. Younger, wildly talented, misused.

Justin877
I agree with Helms but I would switch Kyle and John. John Stewart is clearly more of the Enforcer type.

Spritenaut 32
I still don't understand how/why he didn't become a bigger name. I loved his work on Legion. I've always assumed he either gets steady work outside of comics and didn't want a greater commitment, or simply couldn't keep up with a monthly title.
