Quebecers vs. Dan Dubiel and Scott Despres - WWF Superstars 8-21-1993

The finish to this match is quite literally a squash. The Quebecers had some nice offense. This should definitely be in the main post, along with that BPP vs. random cruisers match.

I fucking love this match!  Hansen plays Ricky Morton for one night only.

The best part is after the match with Hansen stumbling around still trying to fight like he had just been kicked out of a bar.

This should probably be on here, being one of the most famous squashes ever. It aired 11/2/85, but actually was taped 10/22/85 (my ninth birthday). Roddy Piper beat Rick McGraw so badly he earns a ref stoppage victory, and of course when McGraw OD'd shortly thereafter Piper got an unintentional boost to his villain rep when the marks assumed Quickdraw died from the beating. As a sidenote, until watching this again on youtube I had always recalled Piper hitting McGraw with multiple piledrivers, only to see that it was actually DDTs. Then it dawned on me that before Jake Roberts debuted the following year, the WWF actually used to refer to the DDT as a form of piledriver (I think Gorilla used to refer to Adrian Adonis' DDT as a "side reverse piledriver" or something convoluted like that).

http://youtu.be/f5TI1CD2hvoFor a guy best known as a lumbering slug, the Warlord looks great here. Nice short arm clothesline and I love way he dumps the guy on the gut wrench suplex.

You should find the Powers Of Pain squashes from their time in the NWA. Busting out all sorts of suplexes and double teams. My favorite being the Flying Headbutt Demo Decapitation.

Totally, I'll get this amended later today.

I totally believed this beating was what lead to his death. I was becoming a huge fan of McGraw's and was really pulling for him to start winning some matches.

Someone please post video of Orndorff kicking the shit out of Stoney Montana, circa early '86 i believe. My favorite squash of all time. My friend Todd had it on VHS and we'd watch that match and just howl with laughter.

Here's 2 new guys to this thread. Beatdown plus trash talk. Also like that there's actually story in the match for why they kill Sandlin.

I don't mean to cross shill, but I just watched Red Tyler vs. Mr. Perfect for my New Generation Era Project, and I think it's worth posting in this directory.

It's not a beat down or anything particularly violent, it's just a little humorous.

Red Tyler knew how to take a beating.  Just saw him get destroyed by the Headshrinkers in a tag match from about a year later.  God, the Headshrinkers were ruthless.
