dok
I know we don't discuss politics here any more, but apparently the Russian Duma is currently debating a bill that will outlaw "Russophobia". The jokes write themselves.

Ultimo Necro
Someone should start a thread called something like "Wow, I totally forgot he was in TNA!" Honestly, I think the list of who *hasn't* been in TNA is shorter. What about guys who seem like they SHOULD have been in TNA, but haven't. Shelton Benjamin, Paul Burchill, Chris Masters? goc
I still don't understand with some of the American guys who have steady work in Japan how Chris Masters is NOT one of them.
cool arrow
I dunno, I suspect if he wanted to go that route, he probably would. Hell, if Rob Terry can get a gig in Japan...

Cobra Commander
considering how some people love game shows in Japan, Masters could just start his own game show in Japan where the only challenge in the game involves breaking the Masterlock

Johnny Sorrow
And two holy grails for me have been found. Me and my buddy have been looking for these promos online for years. We saw them on TV when we were 13, had them on tape for awhile but they got lost years and years ago. And he found them today. Don Muraco and Lou Albano are the most spectacular men. As two fans of the bad guys, this was the greatest thing ever. and then.. LOU ALBANO IS A SCUMBAG! Muraco is so awesome.

These, as well as Blassie, Grand Wizard and later JVentura and RRPiper stuff, shaped my whole worldview. I mean, Backlund may have been a great role model (and later on, I recognized what a brilliant worker he was) but who would a callow youth such as young RAF (and morally-stunted adult (again, myself)) want to hang out with and therefore emulate? Who got the ladies? Who had the most larfs? Damn, we watched these over and over... no regrets, RAF

Curt McGirt
Where is Masters working right now, the indies still? You would think he would be a lock for AAA, and might even be able to get something out of the stiffs in their heavyweight division. EDIT: I looked it up, apparently he worked a TNA dark match so you can cross him off that list.

RonL21
Okay, I'll ask. Why is Rocky Johnson still working matches, much less doing indy shows? Surely he doesn't need the money. I'm guessing he likes the business that much and can still work and is still in decent shape.
cool arrow
The last time I saw Rocky Johnson was at Wrestlemania 13, and he was looking pretty old then. He's 69 now, but then again Mil Mascaras was in really good shape until fairly recently, so who knows?
Sublime
Because promoters are still paying him I would guess. I'm sure he's probably not wrestling a style that is too demanding, it's probably more come see the Rock's dad kick a dudes ass and bring in a couple more people to the show, he gets paid to come do some punch and kick stuff probably doesn't bump and gets some money and it's probably more fun for him than sitting at home watching his sons movies. On the Texas episode of "Legends", they showed clips of a 6-man tag with Fritz, Mike, and Kevin Von Erich. Fritz didn't do much, but the Freebirds sold really well for him and it popped the crowd like crazy. Probably the same for Rocky J.
