Victator
With everything Mick has sacrificed, he is entitled to act as weird as he wants. Not disagreeing with you mate, I just don't want to see it. It's pretty heartbreaking. Like, Hogan is all there he's just a bit of a deviant. But Naitch and Mick are in a bad way mentally and it isn't pleasant. I understand, I hate that Mick gave up his last bits of wrestling to TNA.
Curt McGirt
I've got no shame in my game, I'm a drunk bastard and honest about it, but Flair is sad to see because you know where the pain is coming from and know that they are just propping him up with these appearances to keep him from jumping off a bridge. piranesi
I think the thing that is saddest is that when Foley retired everyone (or me and probably a lot of others) thought "That's great, he's getting out just in time." And now it's painfully obvious that in wrestling there probably is no such thing as "in time" to get the fuck out.
Victator
I think those years in TNA destroyed him. He seemed to pace himself well enough in WWE with the comebacks.
piranesi
I kind of get the impression, though, that the brain stuff was just slower in showing itself...and that the damage was probably done before he ever quite WWE. I could be misreading things, though.

Zakk_Sabbath
I can't remember where I saw it, maybe his Reddit AMA, but I saw Foley say that he really didn't consider full-time retirement until he threw up after a TNA match and thought "Gosh, I really shouldn't be doing this anymore." I don't know about anyone else, but that, as a fan, fucks me up.

Johnny Sorrow
How old is Chris Hardwick? I hated him back in 97 and he was ancient then. . You should listen to the Nerdist podcast he does. He's a total sci fi , pop culture , comic book, Trek, dude who also has stand up cred and all the best comics come on the show.
Niners Fan in CT
Hardwick is only 42 which means back on MTV's Singled Out he was in his mid 20's. I sure as hell wasn't watching the show for him, though..
GuerrillaMonsoon
Bagwell's, erm, interesting career turn was brought up on last night's @Midnight on Comedy Central. Jericho was on there the other night too... and WON! I'm guessing Hardwick is a wrestling fan. EDIT: Watch Foley show up and fail miserably. Man Foley is perhaps the saddest "old dude" going. Flair looks like death and has fucked up his life. Hogan has pissed all over my memories of him. But Foley is like the cool crazy uncle you grew up with and you'd see him like twice a year and just want to hang out with him forever. Then when you're older he buys you beer and tells you cool stories and gives you dirty magazines and he's just the dude that you hang out with at parties and shit. Then you're 24 and you realise he's no further along in life than when he was 18 and he's just doddering about trying to be cool and funny and you always go to his place to meet up with him because your girlfriend hates him. Then you're 30 and he's never met your kids because you're scared he'll walk in the room stinking of piss and cigarettes and they'll be traumatised for years. Oh.....shit.
Johnny Sorrow
This is less about Foley than it is FSW fearing he's gonna turn into his Uncle.

He's even said as much when he interviewed Jericho and Punk on his podcast. DreamBroken
For the little money he is most likely making, I doubt he can be selective. According to TMZ "The company charges a pretty penny for Bagwell's services -- $800 for 2 hours, $1550 for 4 hours and $3000 for an overnight "visit." Weekends are steep -- $8K. And a full week with Bagwell -- $25K. The owner of the service -- Garren James -- tells TMZ, Bagwell is already the second most popular escort on the website ." piranesi
"second most popular escort on the website" Is that really a bragging point, career-title-wise? Cole Miner
I understand, I hate that Mick gave up his last bits of wrestling to TNA. It was unethical of TNA to let him and Flair go out there and have that last man standing match. It did feel like the appropriate end of their careers though. Especially the latter part of their careers. Desperately holding on to what should have been gone. Still going too far with the risks. Desperate enough to do it in a second rate promotion. Guys like them will always think they have one more good match in them. Glad the WWE has taken steps to keep guys like them out of the ring. Work hard at what you love and accept that not everyone makes it to the top but there are other ways to stay involved. Dreamer was smart enough to know he would never be THE guy in ECW or any other promotion, so he learned the business behind the business and made himself that much more valuable. Thankfully more guys are coming into the system understanding that these days and I think the performance centre will help alot.
