THE GOOD NEWS THREAD!

I finally got a damn car.  Walked in with no money down, no insurance, no cosigner, mediocre credit, no trade-in.  Drove out with a perfectly decent used Taurus for below blue-book value.  On my birthday.  Just in time to save my ass, getting me to both work and school.

Infused with the power of Earthbound Organics, it will transcend the gap between nature and man, uniting the powers of mother earth and the ingenuity of human intellect. The Child will be ultimate carbon based life form.

I can't really justify buying new unless you're dirty-ass rich and it's a new toy to show off to your friends.

I drive a '98 Ford Escort that I got from my late grandmother (stepfather's mother, technically).  It needs an assload of work done to it and I might webuyanycar.com it and use the money to get a newer (but still used) car with less problems.

My new job in pest control has a few cool perks. Apparently, a few weeks back, a Broncos season ticket holder got shit on by a pigeon and went to the media about it. Mile High/ Sports Authority Stadium is one of our accounts so we were called to take care of this situation. So one of my bosses and I got to spend our Thursday afternoon in an empty Mile High installing hardware cloth fencing in the pigeon area. It wasn't an easy job, as my boss was at the top of a ladder in a tight spot drilling the fencing into metal and I was measuring out and tin snipping sharp fencing on top of stadium seats. But it was fucking cool being there, seeing them get the place ready for Sunday and watching the parachute guys rehearse flying into the stadium, and I took the time to be a tourist and take some pictures.

My girlfriend's daughter's wedding was pretty fucking awesome.  Here is a pic of my girlfriend and I walking down the aisle to light the unity candle.

My new sorta son-in-law by proxy is of Trinidad / Jamacian decent, so there was a lot of dancehall played at the reception.  BONUS~!

When they played Dawn Penn, I was like "OH THAT'S MY JOINT!" and I think I nearly snatched my girl out of her shoes getting her on the dance floor.

I was the good kinda "please Jesus kill me I feel awful" when I woke up the next morning morning.  So much tequila, ale, and medium rare steak consumed the night before.  I think I had two bananas and some green tea for breakfast the next morning..  It was all I could handle.

They are from the USA, they aren't real Mancs anyway. :)

45 bucks to sit in the upper deck at MTS Centre tonight, drink 9 dollar jumbo drafts and yell until I lose my voice at the Winnipeg Jets. Can't wait!

Good news involving Andrew and women? Hell must have frozen over.

Met up with my ex-girlfriend last night and realized that I was more over her than she was over me. And also I realized that having anything to do with ex-girlfriends is just a bad idea. It also made me glad that I wasn't together with her -- she told me she 'kinda' got back together with her ex-fiance (he can have her) and her job is not that great. I have a new job that I actually love, I work in downtown Atlanta, and I actually like my co-workers and don't dread going in to work.

Check with Red to arrange for your infant to claim Baby C's hand in marriage.  We need to get a DVDVR alliance started around here! :)

I will accept nothing less than 15 camels, and 5% of the gross profits from any further work.

Warmest of congratulations Raziel. Now, you just have to watch out when they pee.

Guess whose old college friend is the lead gal in the Queen musical WE WILL ROCK YOU (that's making its tour across the United States right now) and has comped him for the show tomorrow night?

THIS GUY.
