I upgraded my Mask of the Third Man, but that is about it.  I am going to have to invest Vanguard Marks into the shitty Hunter armor that looks like it was doused with engine oil if I want to see life past Light 31 in a hurry.  Waiting for Etheric Light drops probably won't cut it.

Well, I cleared the Crucible void kills portion of the Thorn bounty the other day. I've had that bounty sitting around for a month because I don't have a void primary. I finally got a decent void heavy machine gun from the new HoW content, and that's what put me over the top there.

But see, I thought that would be the hard part. Then I tried to run through the Xyor thing.

Fuck me.

 

Killing Xyor was far more traumatic than the Crucible Void Damage thing, IMO.

My guess is that we are supposed to invest VM's / CM's in the Vanguard / Crucible / Faction items and then grind PoE / Crucible / High Difficulty Crap until we get enough Etheric Light for upgrades.

 

All of my exotics for all of my toons are upgraded to Atk / Def 365.  I am not thrilled by the prospect of upgrading Legendaries.

Yeah, Xyor was basically a mini Nightfall, you're going to want to bring a friend!

The easiest way to level up without Etheric Light is to just do the 32 prison each week for the next month to get all 4 pieces of armour. The problem so far is both pieces have been 100% strength. Which isn't great but at least will get you to 34 in 4 weeks (3 with an ascended exotic).

I'm now level 34 thanks to Variks' chest piece. Not crazy about strength stats but I'll deal with it for now. After failing to beat POE 34 last week, my morale is pretty high again.

 

Looking forward to destroying Sepiks Prime any minute now.

They need more content in this game. I'm enjoying the grind right now but it's about over. It's too easy to max out at 34.

One upgraded exotic to light 42, the light 42 gauntlets from Variks this past week that are had by the level 32 PoE armor core, the light 42 chest piece from Variks this week, and an etheric light to level up the final piece of armor. Etheric light is apparently pretty common in ToO also if you didn't want to do the 34 PoE. I played some trials last night and it's a lot of fun. I'm just doubting the ability of it to hold interest for too long after being maxed out on all three characters.

FIOS is going to show up at the crib on Thursday, so at least the aura won't go to waste all weekend.  With no burns available for the Nightfall, I'll be using Oversoul Edict and P&T and saving the Ghorn for Shank clean-up and boss killin' duty.

 

I will probably be slugging through Skyrim until you get online.  THAT'S RIGHT i SAID SKYRIM~!

The story missions were pretty good, they actually flowed as if it's an actual story unlike the entire initial game.  My only problem with them is that they don't last long at all and one of them is just going to venus patrol and shooting vandals and collecting shit they drop.  I think all told the new quest missions took about an hour and some change.  Just wish it was more content. 

 

The strike was more fun the second time I did it than the first.  Definitely one of the better strikes in the game I think.

I really like the sidearm as well.  In prison of elders one of the random modifiers is special weapon damage is increased and that thing absolutely wrecks.  Same for when there's an arc damage modifier.  It fires so fast.  If there's a lot of trash mobs, when I pull the trigger and let it go I don't let it fully reset.  It's only about a half trigger reset and you can press it again and it's like firing full auto if you can pull it fast enough.

Yeah i liked the new story missions. Felt like you were working towards something unlike the original missions and The Dark Below. Some of them are actually pretty fun to play too. With some luck the rumored larger expansion coming out later in the year will add some entirely new areas instead of just reusing/adding on to the existing ones.

 

Spent a little longer than intended tonight but we'd got a good team together so ended up checking off 3 Nightfalls, 3 Crotas and 3 32 Prisons. I know the popular opinion is there isn't enough to do in this game after a while but I actually think there's too much end game content at the moment for me to keep up with. Even just jumping to the hard modes on the raid now there's still 3 Nightfalls, 3 Weeklies, 6 Raids and 9 Prisons. That's about 12-15 hours worth of stuff to do every week. Not including if you're playing Trials or if there is an Iron Banner on, dailies, bounties etc.

 

At this point i'm not too fussed with getting all the raids in like i used to be. I just need the 2 sets of raid armor for my Hunter now and one gun from the Vault of Glass. Unless i'm on and people are running them i'll just focus on getting them in for the Hunter. Ignoring the new Exotic bounties from the Prison i'm only missing the Universal Remote, which hopefully Xur will sell again soon. Still missing 4 pieces of the old exotic armor and 6 pieces of the new armor but again, Xur should hook me up eventually. I'd like to get to the point where i only really need to run the Nightfalls/Weeklies/32-34 Prisons. Its very easy to feel like you're falling behind in this game but i'm getting to the point where i shouldn't feel the need to play it so much soon.

 

That being said, Arkham Knight could well blow this away for a few weeks!

It's just luck really. We've ended up with about 10 people on regularly and a few more that jump on from time to time. All from various different time zones and countries. So there's usually at least a couple of people on at any given time of the day.

Also, it helps (especially with the increased levels now) that you don't really need a full team of 6 to do any of the content. Crota's End I actually find easier to run with fewer people. As long as you've got the firepower to bring him down, the less people there to trigger the Oversoul, the better. 3 is perfect for it, 2 to drop the shield and 1 to run sword.

Vault hard mode is really the only thing you need 5+ for. We've done normal with 4 but things get scetchy on hard during the Gatekeeper and Atheon's teleports. And you need at least 4 for Atheon anyway, Plus confluxes on hard with just 3 people is usually a nightmare.

Rippa and I were THIS CLOSE to two-manning the Nightfall and then we made mental lapses at the same time and that was that.  My parent's crappy wi-fi cannot hold a connection for jack.  I will be glad when FiOS is at my crib tomorrow. 

 

I was en route to turn in a bounty that would've gotten me over Queen's Favor Rank 2 when I kept getting booted out of Live.  I love my folks and appreciate them letting me crash there on odd nights until I get a job closer to DC, but their bandwidth is totally jacked up.

 

Looks like I accidentally obliterated my Chatterwhite shader when I rebuilt my new Bladedancer a month or so ago, so someone has to get me to the Vault of Glass and drag me to victory sometime soon.

I'm still sitting at 33 myself.  I upgraded my symbiote and 3rd man helmets on my hunter, light beyond nemesis and obsidian mind on my warlock, both icebreakers and both mythoclasts.  I ran the nightfalls (skull of dire ahamkara and a shitty fusion rifle that I already had) last night, and two-manned crota up past the second bridge. (Both times Saggine Bo lagged the fuck out before the first bridge, we waited for 10-15 minutes each time, and both times he got Oversoul Edict, 2nd time I even called it, ask Slimy).

 

Did the 28 PoE strike hoping to get a Ghorn, ended up getting another Obsidian mind.  Watched a buddy of mines game capture of the nightfall loot screen on xb1, he got a ghorn, probably like the 4th or 5th one.  I fucking hate this game sometimes most of the time.

 

I did finish Crota twice the other night right before reset.  Ended up getting the word of Crota, oh well...I mean, I already had 5 Epilogues, didn't really need another void primary (kinda need an arc ya know).

34 PoE you really should be AT LEAST 33 because of the damage reduction.  We'd need another Ghorn and titan bubble to make it work.

I need to run Crota with you guys sometime so that I can get enough Radiant Energies to fully ascend my Oversoul Edict and use it to splash Wolves against a wall.

 

Bungie really does need to implement a uniform weapon upgrade system especially now that they've done away with Ascendant Materials.  Either use the HoW system for everything or allow me to pay for Ascendant Mats with Glimmer or Marks.

You can trade all materials, you just have to have them equipped, exchange for MoL etc...
