SirSmUgly Posted February 10, 2014 Share Posted February 10, 2014 Geez, I have been reading this board since maybe 2004/2005 or so, so I remember much of this even though I only signed up at the last re-start. This is why I try to post with purpose at least most of the time; I found this place to just have a higher quality of discussion, and I would prefer to not bring it down too much. I have learned a ton from everyone who posts here, especially about Lucha and Puro. Even some of the stuff that I wanted to get into, but didn't know where to start, some of the lists that guys like Goodhelmet put up gave me a place to begin. For example, I used to watch AWA as a very young kid, but I came in with the Midnight Rockers. KHawk, who I think is the guy that posted here that knows everything about AWA, had these great posts that helped point me to stuff like the High Flyers and Rick Martel as AWA champ and all that. I don't know as much about wrestling as a ton of guys here, but I tried to lurk and just learn so that I could at least talk to most of the posters here on somewhat consistent ground. He was real active when I first started I was shocked it took this long to mention Rich. If you google search him you stumble across random posts of his across the internet - usually about the Cowboys (not surprisingly). Heck he was one of the like 4 people still posting on TOA as of like 2 years ago. I do seem to recall him having some health issues too that might have contributed to his vanishing. We will always have "Chris Simms - #7 Overall Draft Pick" though... Holy crap, I hope YR is okay. I don't enjoy football as much as I used to because YR is not around to incite the crowd. that and my team is a broken shell of itself right now. If we get this big snow storm, I know how I am passing the time I think I have/had that exact set. Was one of the matches that Villano III/Atlantis match? I know right now, it's that and the springboard top rope uranage that Curry Man hit on Jody Fleisch that I most strongly remember. I wonder what'd stick out if I went back and watched it?
