I just went through each page hitting CTRL+F to look for his name, so apologies if it's already been posted and my search wasn't thorough enough.

Bill Burr's Monday Morning Podcast is awesome. I'm biased because he's my favorite comedian and I'm obsessed, but I love it.

Here's a little preview of him trying to read ad copy and absolutely losing it to whet your appetite - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rl5JDzvkEA0

Here's the podcast link - http://www.billburr.com/podcast

I just got started on U Talking U2 To Me, and it's pretty great.  Ostensibly, it's Adam Scott and Scott Aukerman talking about all of U2's albums in the leadup to their new release.  In reality it's the two of them, plus the occasional guest, shooting the shit and goofing with a little U2 talk at the end.  It's good times.

Easily the funniest podcast that's come out in a while even if you don't like U2.

Just been listening to a lot of the nerdist backlog.

Loved the comedy ones - Eddie Izzard continues to be my #1 stand up.

Loved the live at SDCC ones. Mira needs to learn when to shut the fuck up, like.

Gabe Newells two about valve were interesting if light on detail.

But there were some of them where Chris felt like he lost his way - the Jenna Coleman one for instance - he sounded lost out there.

All caught up on Night Vale, have a ticket for the Austin live show.

I kind of think it was a mistake to bring Strexcorp into NV, as I thought it worked to the universe's advantage that Night Vale was all government/secret society conspiracy stuff and Desert Bluffs was all corporate conspiracy stuff. There was never an ep I didn't enjoy, but I hope the last ep was the blowoff because I just liked the symmetry.

Now I need to look into Thrilling Adventure Hour or another serial storytelling pod now that I'm caught up on WtNV.

Am I allowed to talk about the last few Econtalks here, or is that too political? The 'future of work' roundtable was pretty fascinating, even though some of the conclusions made me uncomfortable.

Cracked and Retronauts continue to be the two casts I look forward to most on a weekly basis (when they happen weekly).

And with House to Astonish about to go on hiatus again, I really need to find another good comics show. War Rocket Ajax is intermittently amazing but I never manage to finish an entire episode unless Clevinger is on (which never happened in the early days with Euge)  I wanted desperately to like Weekly Longbox, but it just kind of bores me because there's basically zero overlap between my tastes and theirs and I don't give a shit about a lot of the things they want to talk about. I also tried whatever the one from the Secret Stash guys is (not Fat Man on Batman, the more general comics one) and wanted to smash my phone in 20 minutes.

My new favourite podcast, though it's a long running one, is Answer Me This. Two Brits answer listener's questions about anything and everything in a humourous way.

Can anyone suggest a good way to listen to a podcast on a Roku? I downloaded this: http://roku.permanence.com/#podcast and it technically works, but there's no option to rewind or fast forward-- I can only pause the podcast. I've seen some people suggest to download the podcast and put it on my Plex media server but I was wondering if anyone knows of a better way.

If you get the chance to see the Welcome to Night Vale live show, DO IT. Had an absolute blast last night. The current touring show takes place before Parade Day, allowing for chars who are currently out of circulation to appear, the musical guest was fun and generally, you should seriously just go.

I already mentioned 99% Invisible here, but I just wanted to point people towards their most recent episode. It's a 1 hour doc on the role of sound in sports. It will blow your mind. Crowd sounds in motor racing? Sampled and recycled. Darts hitting the dart board? Sampled sounds of various things being struck. The sound of horses hooves hitting the turf? Sampled sounds of slowed down buffaloes, and one engineer surmises that it's probably the same particular source for every single race.

I know I've done this in a few of these "podcast recommendation" threads before but I'm putting another plug in for the FilmDrunk Frotcast. It's a really odd show that is only really rarely about movies. Here are some things I've learned via the Filmdrunk Frotcast.

-You can shoot anything into your veins if you boil it long enough and pack the syringe with cotton.

-A lot of people in California fuck their couches.

-What going to the Gathering of the Juggalos is like.

-The sound of a Mexican Predator (like, the film).

-How poop transplants are performed.

-What poop transplants are.

-The sound of a Chinese Sperm Extractor robot.

-Columbia University has a Jiujitsu Club.

-When a current NFL D-Line coach was a player, he used to ask people about their girlfriends while jacking off in front of them.

-How to tell someone who lied about having cancer that you actually have cancer.

-How the writer of a sitcom dealt with having his show cancelled weeks before his wedding.

-Two words: "Quicksand Porn."

And much, much, much too much more. Subscribe today!

Oh, a quick primer.

Regulars:

-Ben, host and entrepreneur. Has done a few kickstarters. Is missing a nut forever now.

-Vince, writer on FilmDrunk.com. MFA Creative Writing from Columbia, now a stand-up living in San Francisco.

-Brendan, former NFL player, current advertising professional.

-Bret, professional artist and secretive grump.

-Matt Lieb, "the irregular regular." Comedian who is recovering from all sorts of things. More of a fixture from 150 and onwards.

Guests include local comedians, film critics, directors, writers, podcasters, porn industry professionals, and one particularly insane human named Joe King who shows up very rarely.

The Wahlberg Solution just started and it's fucking awesome. The guy who does Mark Wahlberg on Doug Loves Movies is doing Politically Incorrect with three other impressionists where they riff and improv in character solving the worlds problems. The girl who does Anne Hathaway is fucking hilarious.

The second Wahlberg Solution was pretty funny, though in the live setting, it seems like Adomian's mic was low at the start so a lot of his Ventura was tough to hear early on.

If you like the Wahlberg Solution, I would suggest checking out the SklarBro's year end special where all their celebrity characters appear on one special show, so it's a lot of Dan Van Kirk, James Adomian and I think Jason Nash doing a lot of shuffling through their various celebrity guests on the show.
