Maybe the the idea of hiring a Canadian coach isn't so bad because the Slovak coach made a huge error in not pulling the goalie when he had two great chances to do so. Of course, the infuriating NHL style "Let everything go but the most blatant" officiating style cost the Slovaks a late PP after Hossa was damn near spun around on a hook. YES!" in Finnish) Gotta be honest, I don't view this as an upset, or at least not a big one: Russia had 2 scoring lines and nothing else of note. There D played solid, but were not a big deal in the transition game, and while there goaltending might be the worst out of the top 5. More or less, they are built of the PP.
