MGFanJay
The first hour absolutely sucked, outside of a few minutes of the Gunner-Storm promo and the Joe history vid. The second hour wasn't much better, but at least featured a promo code to save on porn and sex toys and a hilarious Kurt Angle video. It featured the good-looking cyborg graphic of Kurt amid a ton of uber-cheap CGI that would make the Asylum blush. In theory, I should be hyped about Joe being #1 contender, but he won in a nothing match that was overshadowed by THE INVESTOR! MVP looks like a motherfucking star and has one of the rare main event-level themes in the company. http://jayreviewsthings.blogspot.com/2014/01/tna-impact-1-30-14.html Screens - MVP - Mini-Van Playa RoboKurt For the World Tag Team Title... http://www.imagebam.com/gallery/jcvss0rl6vci02gx1k0n0yv1egj0d4vw
Spontaneous
So much talking, ugh, shut up and punch someone else in the face. Yikes. Why is Velvet Sky a giant compared to half of TNA's roster? Suppose it really doesn't matter but jeez, get them some lifts or something.
NintendoLogic
When Chris Sabin told Velvet to apologize, the proper response was "OK, I'm sorry...sorry that I ended up with a loser like you!" or something to that effect. Come on, TNA. This shit practically writes itself.
hammerva
I just can't get the idea that MVP is a major star worthy of being an investor of a wrestling company. Maybe if it was 3 years ago when he was a little more relevant. I mean where is he currently working? I know it was New Japan but obviously he isn't one of the people responsible for their rise
cool arrow
Didn't see the show; is he actually being billed as MVP? Isn't that name a Vince creation?
hammerva
I thought he purchased the rights to the name because he did go by MVP in Japan
Spontaneous
I half expected that TNA would re-name him VIP to hold the rights to it.

It's become the most important title he ever held in his career.
Cobra Commander
maybe someone recently saw the Islanders 30 for 30 and it'll turn out that MVP is committing massive fraud in his attempts to invest in TNA
Overly Critical Man
I think the story goes that Vince and MVP had a really good relationship and Vince lets him use the MVP name outside the WWE as a result.

Ace
Didn't see the show; is he actually being billed as MVP? Isn't that name a Vince creation? WWE can trademark Montel Vontavious Porter, but they wouldn't be able to trademark MVP due to so much prior use.

Overly Critical Man
"IT'S MVPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPEEEEEEEE!!!!!" may be the worst call Tenay has ever made. But that was hilarious.

Ace
Does Christy Hemme not watch Impact? Or does everybody in the company hate her? Nobody tells her about Sam Shaw's Creeptorium? Seriously?
NintendoLogic
So it turns out that Davey Richards is barely taller than Rockstar Spud. His opponents should be able to press against his forehead and hold him at arm's length while he fails harmlessly at the air in front of him like CM Punk did to El Torito in the Rumble.
APO
Does Christy Hemme not watch Impact? Or does everybody in the company hate her? Nobody tells her about Sam Shaw's Creeptorium? Seriously? Maybe she finds creepy potential axe-murdering rapists sexy? Shit looked like something re-created for an Investigation Discovery show.
Skeeball Wizard
Antonio created the MVP name and character before he came to WWE. It is exclusively his.
DreamBroken
Cool entrance for MVP, agreed on the hilarious Tenay call to end the show. Really liked the Gunner/Storm promo, good stuff that made them more interesting as a team than anything before it ever did. Glad to see a team shockingly get over their issues and not split up for a change. Definitely a crazy amount of talking tonight but Storm/Gunner delivered. Enjoyed Joe all night, looking forward to him being #1 contender though I don't expect him to win the title. Magnus continues to look like a joke in the main event mix. Bully/Anderson as the neverending feud is ridiculous, it seems like they've done everything and been feuding for years going back to BFG 2011. All tag matches tonight. Waiting until the last possible moment for the reveal had me thinking back to the last one with Tito Ortiz. Digging the Wolves in TNA so far, interested to see them start wrestling soon. AxB
It was nice of the Scottish crowd to chant USA for Gunner though. Nice that they teased Storm turning heel and then didn't do it. When he said he was Sorry, and then didn't say For Your Damn Luck, that was good.
