victor Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Looks like a pretty good show. New Age Outlaws b Rhodes Brothers in a non-title match. Vickie Guerrero did an interview in the middle of the match saying that the Rhodes Brothers would have to face each other in the Rumble, and that allowed Billy to pin Cody using the trunks. Paul Heyman did an interview saying Brock Lesnar was attacked by Show. Heyman talked about how Show had knocked out an elderly war veteran. Heyman said he doesn't fear Big Show because he's friends with Lesnar. Show came out. Heyman ran out of the ring and through the crowd to get away. Show did a promo and said he was one of the original Heyman guys but isn't anymore and woud knock Lesnar out. Rey Mysterio b Alberto Del Rio. Del Rio laid Mysterio out with the armbar after the match. Naomi b Tamina Snuka after a split legged moonsault The Wyatt Family came out. Bray started talking about his father, saying his father was never there for him. Will be interesting if his father becomes a character. He said his father betrayed him and cast him out like a sheep and Sister Abigail took hi out. He said Bryan had turned him into the monster he was meant to be. Big E Langston b Fandango Renee Young interviewed The Shield, also bringing up that it's every man for himself in the Royal Rumble and all three Sheild members are in. Dean Ambrose said that nobody can stand up to the three of them. But then Seth Rollins said he would throw out Ambrose in a heartbeat if it meant getting a title match. Ambrose said he would do the same. Reigns said he'd throw both out for a title shot, but they all agreed after the Rumble, they would still be a unit. Usos b Jack Swagger & Antonio Cesaro. Zeb Colter was at ringside in a wheelchair selling the KO punch. The Usos were all taped up. Swagger was pinned after a splash off the top rope. They did a video package promoting Ric Flair giving the 49ers a pep talk last week and promoted all the media attention. C.M. Punk came out and cut a promo on HHH for setting him up on Raw, saying HHH hides behind his wife. The Shield came out, followed by the New Age Outlaws. Kane then came out and told them to stop and The Authority doesn't want them attacking Punk. He said Punk was paranoid and The Authority wants Punk to win the Royal Rumble and headline WrestleMania and that his orders were tomake sure Punk is in good shape for the Rumble. Punk didn't believe him, and then Kane told The Shield and The Outlaws to attack Punk. Punk was fighting them off and Kane choke slammed him to end the show. Why are the New Age Outlaws getting a push? Del Rio won on Raw, Mysterio wins here. Looks like the beginning of the end of the Shield happens at the Rumble.
Fat Spanish Waiter Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Best thing about the Outlaws is they're clearly making Billy wear a t-shirt because he's in unreal shape and makes all the full timers look small. 4
Curt McGirt Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 God Big E. vs. Fandango again, might as well just stab out my eyes. Can't they give Langston anyone better?
mattdangerously Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 I'm guessing the Outlaws are back because they wanted to add a couple of bodies to the Authority without having to work too hard to explain why they've joined up. Or maybe they realized that jobbing out all three Shield guys at once to Punk is retarded, so they need someone else to lay down for him in handicap matches.
caley Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 I totally, totally understand why they bring the NAO back as they're super-over. I don't really get why you'd turn them heel right away but... 1
Brian Fowler Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Yeah, I mean there were multiple "New Age Outlaws" chants before the walked out on Punk last night. They are still over to a shockingly high degree.
Jiji Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 I totally, totally understand why they bring the NAO back as they're super-over. I don't really get why you'd turn them heel right away but... They're booked in a cage against the Usos on Raw...
Fat Spanish Waiter Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Yeah, I mean there were multiple "New Age Outlaws" chants before the walked out on Punk last night. They are still over to a shockingly high degree. But if you remember everyone who ever used the mic in the Attitude Era was terrible and nobody was over. 2
Curt McGirt Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Please not another thread like this. The show hasn't even been on yet. Anyway, the Usos/NAO just reminded me of DX beating up Foley and Funk in the cage on Raw so this could be a fun callback. 1
Cobra Commander Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 not sure if I want Bray Wyatt's on-screen father to be IRS. Can't his on-screen father be Mick Foley somehow?
TimLivingston Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Fuck that. Bray's dad should be Jake Roberts. 4
Cobra Commander Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Vince is probably pitching Barry Windham as Bray's father to fill the quota for that quirk in storylines
Harbinger Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Fuck that. Bray's dad should be Jake Roberts. FUCK YEAH! When I was reading the father bit, I automatically thought Jake. Start having Brodie & Rowan carry Lil gators on their back so they can drop gators & snakes on mofos after the sister Abigail.
DreamBroken Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 I'm all for an Outlaws/Rhodes tag title feud. Great way to bring the Rhodes Brothers' story back to feuding with the Authority.
notoriusvig Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Why exactly are the Outlaws beating the tag champs? Sure, they're over but so is Ric Flair, should be going over on Punk? I'm all for them getting a title shot one-off at the PPV but not this. It makes them look weak that they lose to old guys. They're supposed to be the best team in the world, this should be a warm-up for them.
Victator Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Every champion loses non title matches now. I hope the Outlaws win the tag belts.
Harbinger Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 They won by interference & a handful of tights. Heels man.
RIPPA Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 There was a video up on the WWE site after RAW with the Rhodes Brothers talking about being in the Rumble and Cody brought up eliminating Dustin twice amongst other things. It was done more in a "Brothers being competitive" way but they usually break up at least one team/set of friends at the Rumble. And I don't mind Langston vs. Fandango because usually Summer Rae is great at interacting with Langston (not as great as when it is with Mark Henry but still)
CanadianChris Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Nothing is as great without Mark Henry. RAW, Royal Rumble, sex, Survivor Series, ...
Pete Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Blackjack Mulligan would be AWESOME as Bray's dad. (This originally came out as "Blackjack Minivan" on my phone. Just wanted to share.)
muhammedboehm Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Vince is Bray's dad... Shane wasn't a real McMahon just a replacement for Bray
J.T. Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Everyone knows that Bray Wyatt's father should be Waylon Mercy. 2
Patrick B. Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Yeah, what HAS Spivey been up to? *Googles* Aaaaand now I'm blind.
Playa Shunna Ver 3.0 Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 It makes so much sense for Bray's dad to be IRS. Just think about it. 7
Raziel Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 It makes so much sense for Bray's dad to be IRS. Just think about it. Shit, I'm out of likes, I must come back and co-sign this.
