It was on HBO every day when I was a kid and I don't think I've seen it anywhere since 1988 or so. WHO OWNS THE RIGHTS TO SUPER FUZZ and why are they HIDING IT FROM ME!!!????? My daughter has penciled us in for the 2:30PM showing on Saturday and has leveraged me via good grades into taking her curent BFF along. She and her friend will probably drag lunch at Johnny Rockets out of me, too. Cha ching cha ching..... My favorite superhero movie is Chronicle. When we roll across the 69th Street Bridge tomorrow -- on our way to freedom! -- we're going to have their best man leading the way... from the neck up! ............... ON THE HOOD OF MY CAR!" That long pause for emphasis on the punchline always cracks me up. Isaac Hayes is one menacing motherfucker (THE DUKE OF NEW YORK YOU ARE A-NUMBER-ONE). And of course so many great character actors... Harry Dean Stanton, who I always forget is in it, Donald Pleasance being alternately terrified and a dick, "Big Boobs Barbeau" (as my folks always call her), Lee Van Cleef, Ernest Borgnine, and of course Charles Cyphers and Tom Atkins. So what's the second-best John Carpenter soundtrack: Escape? Assault (which I am particular to)? The really underrated one from Christine? I turned it on while I was working out, and the best part was when the girl ran into the kitchen to find Leatherface nonchalantly making some finger food. 20 minutes left and it's just sitting at a bar talking about history, while Leatherface is just hanging out. End of Watch is pretty good if you ignore all the times that the movie messes up the found footage gimmick. 3rd person in the room controlling the camera when there couldn't be someone there and all that. I think they use the found footage gimmick as a way to present some scenes in a different way but it's not the crux of the entire movie. I would go as far as to say that most of the movie is not shot in the found footage style but just regular over the shoulder shaky cam style (similar to the other Ayer's movies like Harsh Times or Street Kings). C'mon, one of the scenes from the camcorder is a sex scene between Gyllenhaal and his chick - and includes footage of both of them but with nobody to work the camera. MarcosLoura Posted February 5, 2014 Share Posted February 5, 2014 Okay I just popped in the movie to watch that particular scene (it's the one right after the quinceanera party right?) and like I said it's shot with the shaky over the shoulder cam and not the hidden camera stuff. The next scene, however, is a mix between 3d person camera and Kendrick's character POV. There are 3 shots, one from her POV recording Gyllenhaal on the bed, another by the 3rd person camera showing her with the camcorder on her hands and the next one is her speaking directly to the camcorder.
