Curt McGirt
As the resident Grim Reaper of the board, I have to mention that Meshach Taylor passed away. http://www.nytimes.com/2014/06/30/arts/television/meshach-taylor-actor-on-tvs-designing-women-dies-at-67.html?_r=0 I grew up watching Designing Women with my parents. Sucks.

Jrag
Just watched it. No idea whether it's going to be any good or not, but thought-provoking subject matter obviously. I'm a sucker for the mystery stuff, but I refuse to give Lindelof 7 years of rope this time! One or two years, maybe.
Chaos
Just watched it. One or two years, maybe. I do not think HBO or the material will give him 7 years of rope. Judging by people's reactions, I would be interested to see this be a weird replacement for Six Feet Under. Randy
While Tatiana Maslany elevates an average show into something worthwhile, It's worth saying that Eva Green did something similar on "Penny Dreadful". I'm loving the evolution of the character week-to-week. She was especially good in the episode that was devoted to Miss Ives' relationship with Mina. Reed
http://insidetv.ew.com/2014/06/30/fox-cancels-hieroglyph/?hootPostID=c4af8999bbc0616fa4dafd5a548a7059 Fox cancelled new show 'Hieroglyph' before it even aired. Is this a new record by Fox standards?

Ryan
All My Babies' Mamas, Commando Nanny, The Dictator, The Grubbs, Jingles, Next Caller, Thick and Thin and Who's Your Daddy all sound like instant classics.
RandomAct
Now if "Black-ish" would just get the same treatment.
Bustronaut
Regardless of quality, Black-ish will likely be off the air after a season.
Spritenaut 32
I was kinda interested in Us and Them, mainly because I enjoyed Gilmore Girls and Alexis Bledel hasn't had much success since,
Elsalvajeloco
Regardless of quality, Black-ish will likely be off the air after a season. If you definitely want to get a black show cancelled, you get Tracee Ellis Ross.
Bustronaut
Anthony Anderson, Tracee Ellis Ross, that terrible title, it's like they're daring audiences to not watch. If only Ted McGinley were on the show
Elsalvajeloco
I actually like Anthony Anderson, but he has had his fair share of failed projects. Larry Wilmore has had a hand in creating/being a part of some good things. This will not be one of them.
Matt D
So this whole Hannibal deviation I have no use for paid off since it gave Fuller clout to develop American Gods for Starz. I would rather he do any other Gaiman property but I'll still take this.
Burgundy LaRue
I remember South of Sunset--a Glenn Frey/Aries Spears detective show--airing one episode years ago. I watched it. I wear it as a badge of honor.
Elsalvajeloco
I believe that was when Aries had a giant development deal fresh off a few cameos on A Different World. Aww network execs, you make so many bad decisions.
piranesi
All My Babies' Mamas, Commando Nanny, The Dictator, The Grubbs, Jingles, Next Caller, Thick and Thin and Who's Your Daddy all sound like instant classics. These all sound like shows Troy and Abed would watch. I'm disappointed to see that COMMANDO NANNY wasn't more high concept. It was essentially Gerald McRaney just re-doing the exact same show as MAJOR DAD. So much wasted promise in that title.
