Tabe
I don't think the league is going to agree with you and Bill. Somehow "one of the worst plays he's ever seen" might go unpunished. I don't think they will either. Bill definitely overplayed his hand with "one of the worst plays ever". It doesn't come anywhere near the top 10. Still a dirty play. I'd like to see the NFL do something about those plays. Not so much the dirty kind, like Welker's, but just the general pick play nonsense that they allow to go on. As a whole I think they call offensive pass interference wwaaaaaaaayyyyyy too infrequently and defensive way too often. If I were made rules czar for a couple days, pass interference calls and the penalties for it would be the first thing I revamped. I hate that "underthrow a bomb so my guy gets interfered with" has become a legitimate offensive weapon. I hate that receivers push off CONSTANTLY and never get called. I hate that picks are almost never called. And so on.
odessasteps
Of course, welker never did anything like that while he was in NewEngland.

BobbyWhioux
Irony: The Raiders while Al Davis was still alive would've been an amazing Hardknocks. But Al, no doubt, fought it tooth and nail and only after his death have they become a possibility. And much less worth showcasing.
RIPPA
Bears Bills Cardinals Giants Jaguars Raiders Rams Steelers Are all eligible for Hard Knocks. Bears, please. Remember - they take volunteers first so there might be a couple of other options too.
Burgundy LaRue
I really wonder how a forced Hard Knocks would work. I imagine there would be some serious protests from teams like the Giants and Steelers.

Fat Spanish Waiter
Who would have the most boring locker room in the league? Compared to the NHL everyone would be interesting. Tennessee though. Maybe the Colts.
elizium
The Colts are who I was thinking of too. The Bills would probably be pretty boring to watch as well.

Fat Spanish Waiter
Manning wins the Superbowl, retires and becomes OC in Detroit alongside his friend and mentor Jim Caldwell. BTW IMO Peyton would probably struggle as an OC.
Ryan
I wonder how he'd do as a Special Teams coach.
Fat Spanish Waiter
Without knowing the guy personally at all, Peyton seems to me like he would find it hard to be a full time coach because no-one can do what he does. His abilities don't seem to be teachable. You can either do it, or you cant. Exactly. Common downfall of many a soccer great.
muhammedboehm
If Manning wanted to do something in football after he leaves his best bet would be to become or work with one of they guys that sets up the QB camps...basicly taking the Manning passing academy full time. The Colts have Jim Irsay as an owner. He's many things, but boring isn't one of them. Pat McAfee is also on the team and would thrive on HK. Craig H
Peyton should retire and be a part time performer on SNL while starting out as a QB coach at the college level just to see how it goes. Honestly though, I could see Peyton being an amazing Defensive Coordinator.
Jrag
I was shocked when the announcers no sold this at the time, but Schefter says the NFL is looking into it.
JRGoldman
The only reason it got no sold was it happened on the same play on which LaMichael James got destroyed. Speaking of, did anyone find it sort of unbelievable that both him and Kearse returned to the game after (presumably) passing concussion testing protocol? Both guys were basically knocked out on the field after a blow to the head. Seemed a little fishy. Also, I know he only said it to troll Craig and Burg, but I agree with FSW about Peyton as a coach. I see the same thing happening to him that has happened to many great point guards who have tried to make the jump. They struggle to motivate others when they can't lead by example, and they struggle to teach because everything has always been so readily apparent to them. Josh Mann
Peyton's spot on one of the networks is cased in granite if he wants to go that direction.
Craig H
I don't disagree at with Peyton not working out as a coach. It's entirely possible that he wouldn't dig a job where people won't do exactly what it is his brain wants them to do.
Burgundy LaRue
The thing that would be hard for Peyton as a coach wouldn't be if someone isn't other-worldly talented. It would be if they don't spend every waking moment studying and honing their skill set. He'd want them to play chess and won't understand if they can only play checkers, so to speak.
