TUESDAY IS SONG STUCK IN YOUR HEAD DAY!

Pete

Recommended Posts

He always sings raggy music to the cattle
as he swings back and forward in the saddle
on a horse ("a good horse!")
He's got a syncopated gaiter
and you ought to hear the meter
to the roar of his repeater
how they run ("yes run!")
when they hear that he's 'a-comin'
cause the western folks all know
he's a high-falutin', rootin, tootin',
son of a gun from ol' Wyoming
He's some Cowboy
Talk about your Cowboy
Ragtime Cowboy Joe

C-O-W-B-O-Y-S!

COWBOYS!
COWBOYS!
COWBOYS!

Just discovered this the other week. Who knew WYOMING had the low-key best fight song in the country?

Let me take you on a little trip

My supersonic ship's at your disposal

If you feel so inclined. Well alright.

We're gonna travel faster than light

So do up your overcoat tight

And you'll go anywhere you want to decide. Well alright.

Too many people side by side Got no place to hide.

On my supersonic rocket ship

Nobody has to be hip

Nobody needs to be out of sight. Out of sight.

Nobody's gonna travel second class

There'll be equality And no suppression of minorities. Well alright.

We'll take this planet, shake it round

And turn it upside down.

My supersonic rocket ship.

It ain't no magic, ain't no lie

You'll laugh so loud you'll cry.

Up and down, round and round

On my supersonic rocket ship.

Let me take you on a little trip

My supersonic ship's at your disposal

If you feel so inclined. Well alright.

Nobody's gonna travel second class

There'll be equality And no suppression of minorities. Well alright.

Let me take you on a little trip

On my supersonic rocket ship.

I took a plane
I took a train
(Ah, who cares, you always end up in the city)
I said to Carl
look up for one
(See just how the sun sets in the sky)
I said to Jon
Do you think the girls here
(Ever wonder how they got so pretty?)
Oh well I do
Look out upon the Myriad Harbour
Look out upon the Myriad Harbour
Look out upon the Myriad Harbour
All the boys
with their home-made microphones
(Have very interesting sounds)
All the girls falling to ruin
dropping out of school, breakin' daddy's heart
(Just to hang around)
I walked into the local record store
and asked for an American music anthology
It sounds fun
They tore my skirt, then
Stuck it on the walls at PS 1
I took a plane
I took a train
(Ah, who cares, you always end up in the city)
Stranded at Bleecker and Broadway
Looking for something to do
Someone somewhere asked me is there anything in particular I can help you with?
(All I ever want to help with was you)
Look out upon the Myriad Harbour
Look out upon the Myriad Harbour
Look out upon the Myriad Harbour
Look out upon the Myriad Harbour

Hey, we still got a couple hours. Here is a Buffalo Springfield song with some nice, Beatles-y harmonies, strumming and studio tinkering/background sounds/etc. from the Group That Would Feature Neil Young and Steven Stills to the world at large. You can always tell it's Neil singing even when he doesn't sound like a car-wrecked soprano. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qjcEhrpfRnM
