TUESDAY IS SONG STUCK IN YOUR HEAD DAY!

Recommended Posts

I get up, I get down and I’m jumpin’ around
And the rumpus and ruckus are comfortable now
Been a hell of a ride but I’m thinkin’ it’s time to grow
(Bang! Bang! Bang!)
So I got an apartment across from the park
Put quinoa in my fridge, still I’m not feelin’ grown
Been a hell of a ride but I’m thinkin’ it’s time to go
(Bang! Bang! Bang!)
Here we go!

So put your best face on, everybody
Pretend you know this song, everybody
Come hang
Let’s go out with a bang
(Bang! Bang! Bang!)
I’m way too young to lie here forever
I’m way too old to try, so whatever
Come hang
Let’s go out with a bang
(Bang! Bang! Bang!)

Feel like I’m gonna puke ’cause my taxes are due
Do my password begin with a one or a two?
Been a hell of a ride but I’m thinkin’ it’s time to grow
(Bang! Bang! Bang!)
Metronome!

Man, I’m up to something (up to something), ooh-dee-la-dee-doh
Thank you all for comin’ (all for coming), I hope you like the show
‘Cause it’s on a budget, so ooh-dee-la-dee-doh
Yeah, come on here we go, yeah, come on
Here we go!

So put your best face on, everybody
Pretend you know this song, everybody
Come hang
Let’s go out with a bang
(Bang! Bang! Bang!)
I’m way too young to lie here forever
I’m way too old to try, so whatever
Come hang
Let’s go out with a bang
(Bang! Bang! Bang!) (Bang! Bang-bang)
(Bang! Bang! Bang!) (Bang! Bang-bang! Bang! Bang!)

Been a hell of a ride but I’m thinkin’ it’s time to go

So put your best face on, everybody
Pretend you know this song, everybody
Come hang
Let’s go out with a bang
(Bang! Bang! Bang!)
Here we go!

So put your best face on, everybody
Pretend you know this song, everybody
Come hang
Let’s go out with a bang
(Bang! Bang! Bang!) (Bang! Bang-bang)
I’m way too young to lie here forever
I’m way too old to try, so whatever
Come hang (come hang)
Let’s go out with a bang
(Bang! Bang! Bang!)
Here we go.

(Bang! Bang!)

Well, I'm not uptight
Not unattractive
Turn me on tonight
'Cause I'm radioactive
Radioactive

Well, there's not a fight
And I'm not your captive
Turn me loose tonight
'Cause I'm radioactive
Radioactive

I want to stay with you
I want to play with you, baby
I want to lay with you
And I want you to know

Got to concentrate
Don't be distractive
Turn me on tonight
'Cause I'm radioactive
Radioactive

Radioactive

I want to stay with you
I don't want to play with you
I want just to lay with you
And I want you to know

Got to concentrate
Don't be distractive
Turn me loose tonight
'Cause I'm radioactive, oh yeah
Oh, yeah, radioactive, mmm
Don't you stand, stand too close
You might catch it, oh

Don't you stand too close, baby
Radioactive
Radio, radio, radioactive, uh huh

The story behind this is crazy.  17 year old Szobel barged into a Roberta Flack recording session, declared that he was the greatest pianist alive, they let him play, were impressed, he recorded one record, then disappeared forever.  Like, they put a missing person report out.  He's been spotted homeless in Jerusalem and San Francisco.  He could be alive or dead.  This is fucking genius.

I'm overly fond of The Magic Garden and I've just had "The Good-Bye Song" stuck in my head most of today. I'm actually very excitd for the announced animated series because both Paula & Carole are going to be very hands on in the production. Goddam do I love The Mafgic Garden!

When you heard this song, does anyone think of this music video and not Chevy Chase and Christie Brinkley?

I've never seen that but boy does he look '80s-fied in it. The afro and beard were not a part of that decade. This also led to me watching Peter Gabriel's "Sledgehammer" video (thinking of musicians who tried to reinvent themselves back then) and that is such a piece of work. Between him, Yes, Rush and King Crimson there sure were a lot of prog bands trying to make it on the New Wave bandwagon.
