Tabe
I remember feeling awkward a couple times when I laughed outloud and the rest of the theater was completely silent. I felt like I farted at a funeral. That reminds me of the time my wife & I saw Waterworld in the theater (I actually liked the movie, FWIW, but that's another thread...) Anyway, there's a spot where Kevin Costner is on his boat with the woman & her daughter and they're sorta trying to hide. The Smokers fly overhead and the girl waves at them. Costner smacks her upside the head and says "What are you thinking?" My wife & I busted out laughing at that bit - and we were the only ones. Heck, we got the stink eye from several people because OMG, he smacked a kid!
Kuetsar
Bale was hilarious throughout the entire movie. I love his film choices. As I was saying earlier, every role he just GOES for it. Transforms into the character. One of the funniest parts to me was near the end when Cooper was mocking Louis CK. I lost it. The opening scene of the movie should be his oscar clip. . .

I really really really want to see this but the weather has just wrecked that option. Maybe if the roads get better I can convince my dad to go with me because all my other friends are too broke to go.
Niners Fan in CT
You won't regret it. It's SO MUCH FUN. The plot isn't going to blow your mind but the performances are unbelievable, I loved the music, the wardrobes were fantastic...etc.
Fat Spanish Waiter
Saw it again with a girl tonight. It's great to watch it again because you can just focus on Bale the whole way through and he is tremendous and the best thing in it. She didn't like it though. She also didn't like Con Air. She will not be the mother of my children.
Niners Fan in CT
I'm shocked when I hear someone doesn't like it, it's soooo good. I was listening to Ryan & Greenwald and they just KILLED the movie. They said they didn't buy Jennifer Lawrence as a divorced woman. They said Bale's accent was not good. They said it was trying to be a caper film with no caper and that it came off like O'Russell didn't really know what kind of film he wanted to make. They said it was a disjointed mess. They said parts dragged on. Greenwald specifically said that Hollywood needs to find a different actress than Amy Adams because he's sick of her. I pretty much disagreed with everything they said. I used to like their Thrones and Breaking Bad wrap-ups but often times they come off like a couple hipster wannabe douchebags. Their hip-hop album reviews are hilariously awful. Jrag
Greenwald is always the worst when you don't agree with him. THE WORST. He panned Boardwalk Empire for years before finally coming around on this season (which is one of the weaker seasons in my opinion), but then he will write a brilliant piece on Masters of Sex when it feels like no other critics are even paying attention and it makes me forget why I hate him so much. That being said, NEVER listen to that podcast. I can handle the typed out pretentious bullshit just fine, but that is a line too far. Morris is the only Grantland critic worth anything when it comes to film.

Niners Fan in CT
I didn't love the curly hair but every time she had her hair up or layered it was a win.
Curt McGirt
This was tremendous. The Casino comparisons are true but this one stands alone. Adams steals the whole movie. Louie CK get beaten on and abused THE ENTIRE FILM and it works so well. Mr. Anonymous scares the fuck out of everyone. The only criticism I can give is that the finale was way too pat, far too tied up in a neat little bow for everyone to accept. Almost ruined it but how could it compared to what came before? Great film.
