victor Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 Spoilers number 2, next week's Smackdown tapes tomorrow. Seems like a good show. * WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton opens SmackDown. Orton talks about how he cemented his legacy at TLC by becoming the first WWE World Heavyweight Champion. He says The Authority did nothing to celebrate his accomplishment other than giving him a match with an undeserving troll. John Cena comes out. Daniel Bryan also comes out to confront Orton. Bryan says Orton is scared to give him a rematch. Bryan says he’s better than Orton. Bryan says when Cena wins the belt, he will finally get his fair shot at the title. Orton says they are both idiots and that will never happen. The Shield and CM Punk also come out. Vickie Guerrero announces that The Authority has ordered The Shield vs. Punk, Cena and Bryan in the main event. * Big E Langston vs. Jack Swagger is next. Big E gets a quick win with Mark Henry at ringside. * Brie Bella vs. Tamina Snuka is next. AJ Lee is on commentary and Nikki Bella is at ringside. Brie defeated Tamina in a sloppy finish. After the match, Brie approached the announcers table and shoved AJ. * A Bad News Barrett segment airs. * Sin Cara defeated Drew McIntyre. * Brodus Clay comes out with no music to face Tensai. Tensai got the win when Xavier Woods, Cameron and Naomi came out to interrupt. After the match, Brodus attacks Tensai and Xavier makes the save. * Erick Rowan and Luke Harper defeated Cody Rhodes and Goldust in a non-title match. After the match, The Wyatt Family goes to attack Cody but Daniel Bryan makes the save to a big pop. Bryan challenges them to a six-man match and doesn’t care about having another match later. * Bryan, Goldust and Rhodes defeat The Wyatts in a solid tag team match. * Damien Sandow comes out ripping Christmas. The Miz comes out and Sandow defeats him with a quick roll-up. * Fandango defeated Kofi Kingston. * Daniel Bryan gets taken out backstage by The Wyatt Family so the main event will be Cena and Punk vs. The Shield in a handicap match. * Cena and Punk beat The Shield by DQ. The referee called for the bell when all three members were beating on Punk and wouldn’t stop. At the end, Reigns speared Cena and Punk got hit with the triple powerbomb. Big E Langston ran out and made the save, cleaning house to end SmackDown. A Bryan heavy show it looks like. The Sandow vs Miz match makes no sense, two heels?
Brian Fowler Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 Dammit, Cena/Punk/Bryan vs. The Shield sounded amazing. Still, looks like a good show.
hammerva Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 So Daniel Bryan is now saying that the only way he can get a chance at a title if his buddy beats Orton for it first? That doesn't sound strong at all
w. josh Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 Eh, what he's saying is the current champ is afraid to give him a title shot, so maybe the next guy will. It would work better if they played him up as more bitter and less shruggy about the Authority screwing him over, but openly acknowledging that the champ is afraid of Bryan instead of just calling him a career midcarder on air is a step in the right direction.
RIPPA Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 Fuck all that BIG E MOTHERFUCKING LANGSTON!!! SHOW CLOSER~! 3
JonnyLaw Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 Fuck all that BIG E MOTHERFUCKING LANGSTON!!! SHOW CLOSER~! And so it begins... You don't ditch Mark Henry for a show closing spot, or else Mark Henry leaves you in a ditch.
RIPPA Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 Nah - Mark Henry has fully embraced his Rick Ross role He doesn't need to get his hands dirty. He has muscle for that. 3
DJ Hero Morganti Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 Mob boss Mark Henry? I can get behind that.
ebbie Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 Good thing a lot of the people who keep have the same damn matches with no direction have developed some chemistry at least. Those Shield guys must be booked by the same people who do the divas.. Same match seemingly every show. If you like watching matches just to watch them, sounds like a good show.

The spoilers I read said Miz worked face for some reason. Is anyone even paying attention anymore?
Brian Fowler Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 They have been extremely wishy-washy on whether or not this was a heel turn for Miz, or what.
Cristobal Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 It's not like anyone cares about him either way.
w. josh Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 If you like watching matches just to watch them, sounds like a good show. You have a point. I mean, why would wrestling fans like watching consistently good wrestling matches? 1
Greggulator Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 Can you guys at least watch the show before hating on it and the angles/direction/etc.?
Patrick B. Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 Miz stood up for Santa on Main Event, so he's a face for this week anyway.
Cristobal Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 I was just hating on Miz. That's still allowed, nay, encouraged, right?
The Green Meanie Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 A Bryan heavy show it looks like. The Sandow vs Miz match makes no sense, two heels? The spoilers I read said Miz worked face for some reason. Is anyone even paying attention anymore? He beat up Kofi many times, so he's a face to me. 1
RIPPA Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 It actually kinda seems like Kofi is the one being groomed for the heel turn. I remember a week or two ago - the announcers kept mentioning how "frustrated" Kofi was with the way he was being treated, etc... And he was the one who slapped Miz on the pregame show dealie
Sky Blue Sam Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 A Kofi heel turn would be his first character progression since 2008
cool arrow Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 Correct me if I'm wrong here, but didn't Kofi work heel in Deep South?
Overly Critical Man Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 A Kofi heel turn would be his first character progression since 2008 False. This year alone, Kofi changed from shorts to long tights. He also called himself a "Wildkat".
Yo-Yo's Roomie Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 Kofi should be the Mike Rotunda of a new Varsity Club. Swagger would be the Dr Death.
MGFanJay Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 Main event and the Brotherhood-Wyatts matches were quite good. Loved the Big E save at the end - if it had been on Raw, he'd have been put over as a big star right away due to it. On SD...not so much, but they can always just re-do it for a Raw show next year. http://jayreviewsthings.blogspot.com/2013/12/wwe-sd-12-20-13.html Screens - http://www.imagebam.com/gallery/1kbvym8v1pkj0i3j56auz2o4aij52ts4
Matt D Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 Actually, Kofi in the Real Americans could be compelling.
cool arrow Posted December 21, 2013 Posted December 21, 2013 I dunno, if I were Cena, I'd be pretty annoyed that Big E waited until after the triple power bomb to make the save.
