The head drop Barry takes on the FISHMENBUSTAH and the death sell are fucking epic. Cobra Commander
the New Japan matches on the Pro post-Lyger/Houston Kanemoto v. Scott Armstrong Masahiro Chono vs. Dave Sullivan / Kensuke Sasaki vs. Cobra Shinjiro Ohtani & Koji Kanemoto vs. Todd Morton & Doug Becker / Masa Saito vs. Scott D’Amore Masa Saito vs. Buddy Valentine / Kensuke Sasaki vs. Joey Maggs Masahiro Chono vs. Otis Apollo / Jushin Liger vs. Bobby Starr then if these listings are right.. no NJ matches on 12/23, but two on 12/30 (Ohtani v. JL and Saito v. Terry Richards). Starrcade having taken place on 12/27 (a Wednesday) From an Observer around that time: "There were problems on the first night of the tapings because Kanemoto & Otani were booked to go over the American Males via submission and the Males put up a fuss and a lot of the WCW regulars didn't want to put over the Japanese on television because in most cases the Japanese were using submission finishes." Lazlo Woodbine
Nasty Ned Brady was the king of WCW Worldwide, and my favourite jobber ever. The guy ate offense and falls for breakfast. Loads of goofy selling and old school cheating. He looks kind of like what Dean Ambrose might age into. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6tRTKd5icNk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cact7izXMmA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M-k_ajoKcm4

Cobra Commander
apparently the Summertime 97 World Wide tapings got some of the names into the studio for a match.. so we got.. Ric Flair v. Lizmark Jr! (which i've mentioned before as a random Worldwide pairing) Macho Man v. Bobby Eaton! Kevin Nash v. Prince Iaukea! Scott Hall v. Chavo! I believe those are "WCW booked like it's a TNM fed" moments
Brian Fowler
Like I said, I am, like, 75% sure they just lined up wrestler photos and threw darts to pick the matches.

Cobra Commander
Like I said, I am, like, 75% sure they just lined up wrestler photos and threw darts to pick the matches. maybe WCW paid a lot of money for the technology to put together Battlebowl, so they kept using the technology to book Worldwide and Pro

Curt McGirt
Good god I love watching that again. Finlay does the Corona sideboard posting (minus Corona sideboard) and Dandy slaps the piss out of him before he puts his head to the post making a sound like a melon thrown onto concrete. So awesome considering all the Dandy I'm knee-deep in with the lucha set. I could watch that on loop. Now I'm gonna have to watch every match in this thread. Fuck the monthly Verizon web limits, it's the holidays and I am going to splurge!
Cobra Commander
"It's the Holidays, I watched lots of pro wrestling" So anyways, Jeff Jarrett v. Psicosis! I think Jeff Jarrett was the fan favorite by default (he came out with Debra, Psicosis came out with Sonny Oono). And Tony mentioned that Psicosis was a "top contender for every major title" too

MORELOCK
Kevin Nash v. Prince Iaukea! Highlight of this one is Nash taking Mark Curtis's hand and forcing him to do the Wolfpac sign when he's almost finished with Prince.
