jaedmc
Wow. Peter O'Toole was a slick mother. Even in his twilight, as shown in Venus. We just watched Lawrence of Arabia and I really wish I'd taken the time to watch it for the 60's poll. It's worth the run time, which flies by, in part because of the beautiful photography, but mostly because O'Toole runs that shit. Also PHANTOMS.

Roman
One of my all-time favourite actors. Damn. I loved him in... well, so many movies, from Lawrence of Arabia and Venus to, well, his interviews (which were always legendary) and his hilarious tour de force Jeffrey Bernard is Unwell (which you can find complete on YouTube and is seriously worth the watch). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KI42lY9W9HE

LooseCannon
I have seen zero of his Oscar-nominated movies, so I will remember as the guy who wanted to give Helen Slater a squirt. Also for the movie High Spirits.

jaedmc
Joan Fontaine passed away earlier today too at aged 96. RIP.Daaaamn. People in Hollywood should be dreaming of having the careers and lives of these two. 96. 81. And a lot of great performances. It's sad, but man were we lucky to have these two. J.T.
I loved My Favorite Year and Lawrence of Arabia is the only uber-long movie I can sit through without taking a break because it is fucking awesome. RIP.
J.H.
Lion In Winter is probably in my all time top 10 and O'Toole is not to be fucked with in it! The fact he played Henry II twice in film and that he rocked each time is awesome! James
Matt D
Lawrence of Arabia is made by the contrast of Peter O'Toole's eyes and the desert. It couldn't have been anyone else.
rainmakerrtv
My personal favorite Peter O'Toole movie would be My Favorite Year, but he also starred in two of my favorite super-obscure little movies, Rock My World and Dean Spanley. Cliff Hanger
Steven Lisberger's story about how O'Toole was.supposed to be in Tron, and was super thrilled until his first day on set when he saw what everything looked like before the animated and CG overlays (at which point he lost all enthusiasm, took a cheap buyout and was replaced with David Warner) has always struck me as fascinating and crushingly sad.
