Dolfan in NYC Posted May 19 Posted May 19 We are young, heartache to heartache, we stand... No promises, no demands... Love is a battlefield... It's a busy time in WWE land! Summer's about to start and we're beginning the push to Money in the Bank! We've got two qualfiers this week: Why yes, that IS Charlotte Flair in the middle. What do you mean you can't recognize her anymore? We are strong, no one can tell us we're wrong. Searching our hearts for so long... Both of us knowing, love is a battlefield... Hey, this week we have TWO (count em!) TWO big shows! Saturday has a Main Event~! I'll bet you Logan Paul is gonna cut a promo where he insults the local sports team too! Though I am curious to see how they'll continue to build to Sami-Jey, which looks like the title match for SummerSlam. You're making me go, then making me stay. Why do you hurt me so bad? It would help me to know, do I stand in your way? Or am I the best thing you've had? And then... forget that All Elite garbage with their "good wrestling and storylines"! Who needs that when you've got NXT! AND TNA! Tony D'Angelo really needs to get called up or let go because he's been in NXT forever and well... it's not like he's getting better down there. (It's fun to look back and see a New York that just doesn't exist anymore. Also one of the best small venue concerts I ever saw was Pat and Neil Giraldo at BB Kings. She rules.) Enjoy the week! 1
Doragon Posted May 19 Posted May 19 There is a LFG belt, It's similar to the current Undisputed WWE belt but with some differences. The Undertaker won it.
RazorbladeKiss87 Posted May 19 Posted May 19 Tweets like that Battleground being Stacked one really illustrate how far off I am from the WWE fan base. I was a big NXT fan just a few months ago but nothing on that card, save the women's title looks enjoyable. I like Tony D but I agree he needs to move on or something. He's treading water, not unlike a good many other guys.
Peck Posted May 20 Posted May 20 Wishing the best for Zoey Stark. Those screams were horrendous. Flashbacks to Tegan Nox... ugh. 2
Johnny Sorrow Posted May 20 Posted May 20 Jesus, that Zoey Stark injury. When it happened, it was so fast I couldn't make out what happened. I just heard her blood curdling screaming. I just saw the slo mo replay. It's pretty gruesome. 2

The Natural Posted May 20 Posted May 20 (edited) I think Zoey Stark's done her ACL in at least, that's 6-9 months and can be over that timeframe. It's an injury everyone dreads. Edited May 20 by The Natural
Curt McGirt Posted May 20 Posted May 20 Ick, what happened? Should I even ask? We're getting Cena vs. Truth. Incredible. Nakamura's makeup has gone full Rousey it appears...

The Natural Posted May 20 Posted May 20 I said I think Zoey Stark's done her ACL in, wouldn't be surprised if she's done her MCL and meniscus in as well.
username Posted May 20 Posted May 20 I think she had a pretty bad knee injury before as well, I know modern medicine is great but that felt like it could be career altering. 1

Eivion Posted May 20 Posted May 20 (edited) Skipped the Logan Paul segment outside of seeing Jey get some vengeance on him. AJ/Penta vs. Finn/JD was pretty darn good. The match was well drawn out, had good action, and the crowd was dialed in from beginning to end. Roxanne vs. Becky vs. Nattie was good. Dug it being very much every woman for herself, and Lyra late appearance to take Becky out of the match was used well. Sheamus/Waller built into a pretty solid match. Was nice to still see the crowd hungry for Theory to turn on Waller. Rhea vs. Kairi vs. Zoey became Rhea/Kairi after Zoey's horrible injury. I knew it wasn't remotely good at first glance, but I didn't realize just how bad it was till hearing here and elsewhere on the net. Fuck, I hope Zoey is able to recover. Rhea & Kairi did what they could afterward, but that was not something they were going to recover from easily. Jey/Bron was good. The two know how to work well together at this point and play to each other's strengths. The non-finish made sense given this was a match more about Seth and co. punishing Jey than actually winning. The post match with Sami and Punk making the save was nice. Other than Zoey's injury this was a pretty solid-good show. The wrestling was good. The build to SNME was good. And I liked the furthering of various stories. Particularly curious to see where Roxanne with the Judgement Day goes. Edited May 20 by Eivion 1
odessasteps Posted May 20 Posted May 20 When people compare your injury to Sid's broken leg, its not good.
Phantom Lord Posted May 20 Posted May 20 I thought RAW was good tonight. Felt horrible watching Zoey's injury. I saw a still pic on twitter and it was an ungodly bend. I kinda want to see Logan Paul vs. GUNTHER at some point. I don't see Logan beating Jey Uso, but Logan/Gunther might be a fun match down the line. Becky/Nattie/Roxanne was a really good match. I was hoping for a Nattie win because she's really due for one. Glad the feud between Becky and Lyra is continuing. I was hoping Kairi would pull off the major upset, but Rhea was going to win that regardless of Zoey's injury. Overall a good show tonight. Still hate the commercial structure during matches though.
The Natural Posted May 20 Posted May 20 Zoey Stark's injury is one of the nastiest I've seen in my 35 years watching wrestling.
The Natural Posted May 20 Posted May 20 Professional wrestling can be very real and dangerous… Tonight continued to prove that anything can happen. Wishing @ZoeyStarkWWE a speedy recovery! Rhea Ripley on Twitter.

He's treading water, not unlike a good many other guys. I really cannot stand wrestling influencer Twitter. The "this is cinema" or "this is art" or faux God-like worship from many of these accounts (and I only really follow the bigger ones) makes me queasy. I occasionally debate unfollowing most wrestling accounts for that reason, but I still wouldn't avoid them because of a group text I'm in. The complete lack of sincerity and dignity is why we are where we are as a society in many ways, which is agnostic to all political persuasions. I only saw an image of Stark's injury, and I hope she comes back and can get a decent run. It feels like she's been pretty snake-bitten throughout her WWE tenure. I only caught the end of RAW last night, and I agree with the sentiments of Jey/Bron working well together. 1
stuntmanc Posted May 20 Posted May 20 Her screams aren't something I'll forget easily, I really hope she comes back from this. 1

hammerva Posted May 20 Posted May 20 The other issue (AND IT IS A VERY MILD ONE DON'T GET MAD) is that it seems like Zoey was supposed to eat the pin on that. So now Kairi Sane who just came back with a solid response has to eat a pin. Definitely not how you want to come back. But nothing can be done
Curt McGirt Posted May 20 Posted May 20 Man I really hope they have the good taste to not show a replay of that injury in any form -- whether it's a freeze prior, the screams, nothing. (Unlike of course WCW who showed the Sid leg break multiple times.) I don't wanna be watching Smackdown or a bit of NXT and catch that out of nowhere -- I don't watch Raw anymore. Besides that, it's just not cool. Chicken nuggets in a donut box is... kinda odd. Those are some big nuggets too. Catering must hook it up! (And yeah... lucky bastard) 1
