RIPPA Posted May 10 Posted May 10 Jasson Dominguez becomes the youngest player (22 years, 91 days) in Yankee history to hit 3 HRs in a game Previously it was Joe DiMaggio back in 1937 1
RIPPA Posted May 11 Posted May 11 For those of you not aware - we are on a new worst team of all time alert again The Rockies are 6-33 which ties the 88 Orioles for worst 39 game start since 1900 Manager Bud Black got a vote of confidence before last night's game Colorado then went out and lost 21-0 to the Padres - biggest shutout in Padres history and third largest in MLB history since 1901 2

RIPPA Posted May 11 Posted May 11 I have to believe Black was like “Jesus - what does it take to get fired” and then immediately found the solution 1 4
Nice Guy Eddie Posted May 12 Posted May 12 Mark it on your calendar, the White Sox are in Colorado to play the Rockies July 4-6. Something's gotta give! There must be a winner! 1
RIPPA Posted May 12 Posted May 12 Evan Longoria is signing a one day contract with Tampa and is retiring as a Ray 1

Dolfan in NYC Posted May 13 Author Posted May 13 Oswaldo Cabrera's ankle... um, shattered I guess is the right word... last night running to home. Somehow he crawled back to the plate and scored the run on the play too. Just by the horrific nature of the injury, I'm guessing he's done until the playoffs at the earliest. 1
RIPPA Posted May 14 Posted May 14 I know it was a meme before the season but it is a reality - if you are a starting pitcher for the Dodgers, you are doomed Roki Sasaki is the latest to go on IL - "right shoulder impingement" which is basically the same injury he had last year in Japan
RIPPA Posted May 14 Posted May 14 Obviously this is only possible now because interleague play is common but - the Red Sox will become the first team in history to face the two reigning Cy Young winners on back to back nights Tarik Skubal tonight and Chris Sale tomorrow 1
odessasteps Posted May 14 Posted May 14 Speaking of interleague, great irony in yesterdays HOF story that the Reds are playing the White Sox.

zendragon Posted May 15 Posted May 15 So the commissioner announced that the lifetime ban list only last for the person in question's actual lifetime. This means that Shoeless Joe, Pete Rose and 16 other are unbanned and HOF eligible

A 5 year old could've told MLB what the second order consequences of instituting those rules would be.
NikoBaltimore Posted May 17 Posted May 17 Holy shit. It's the right call but I didn't expect them to do it so soon.
