One week closer to the biggest show of the year... Dynasty... er, WRESTLEMANIA! We've got several matches set, but we need MOAR... Hopefully Hunter can plan more than 5 storylines? Let's see! 'Cause if they found out... It could mess up, both our happy homes. Last week, we did see the debut of The Honorable United States Champion Chelsea Green's enforcement arm, The Secret Hervice. Because if you need to be protected, you need a Scottish Kevin Owens and *checks notes* a Scottish witch. Well, the party now has a mage, a tank, and a bard... I guess they need a knight and ... a druid? (IDK will one of you nerds help pls) Secret Lovers that's what we are, we shouldn't be together... But we can't let it go, oh no, cause we love each other so! TONIGHT! We're in London as the Euro tour wraps up! (I think.) So we have another afternoon Raw (yay!) On tap: Iyo Sky vs. Rhea Ripley for the Women's World Title (Special Guest Referee Bianca Bel Air) Logan Paul calls out AJ Styles IC Champ Bron Breakker & Penta take on the Judgment Day! Niners Fan in CT Posted March 31 Posted March 31 I really enjoyed the Cena and Cody promo segment. That's the fire I wanted to see from both men. They both got some great shots in. Gunther bloodying up Jimmy Uso was also a highlight. Some cool visuals. I didn't see the entire show. This whole Rhea thing is still dumb to me. They are setting up that triple threat so lazily. 2
Eivion Posted March 31 Posted March 31 Dug this Cena/Cody faceoff the most. Thought there was some good passion and both reacted well to each other. New Day vs. Dunne/Bate was good. Glad to see Tyler back though I'm somewhat surprised to see him teaming with Bate again already since he hasn't exactly turned face. New Day vs. War Raiders should be good whenever it goes down though its a shame it feels like both teams have cooled off a bit the past few weeks. Jimmy/Gunther was good. The post match slaughter of Jimmy with Jey tied to the ropes was even better. Gunther was such a tremendous bastard here. Was not expecting Jimmy to bleed or Gunther to use the blood like he did, but it was so damn perfect. Bron/Penta vs. Finn/Dom was solid. Penta had his first direct loss, but it was fine considering how it went down. I do like the setup they are using for the 4-way for the title. Its obvious but works. Was nice to hear Wade confirm Rey Fenix debuting soon. Skipped most of the Paul/AJ stuff. Dug Io/Rhea. I liked that it started off heated. Dug the action. And I dug how Bianca reffed in general here, trying to keep things fair and doing what she could to avoid a possible DQ until it was the only choice that made sense. The triple threat is still the least interesting option to me and many here, but the crowd seems a lot more into than when they forced it last time. Still, it does disappointment how teflon Rhea kind of is right now. I'm happy she is so over, but the level of love she has makes it hard to use her properly as character since they crowd will rarely give her shit when deserved. At least one too few matches as usual, but I did think everything here was solid-good. Especially dug Jimmy/Gunther and Io/Rhea. Thought the angles and general Wrestlemania build was good as well. Jimmy/Gunther was probably the highlight for me match and angle wise. Good show. 2

Johnny Sorrow Posted April 1 Posted April 1 (edited) I really liked this RAW. Gunther covered in Jimmy "Boogie Woogie Man" Uso's blood was awesome. Kofi looks so evil with no mustache. It's amazing. The Cena/ Cody segment was great. Usually worked "shoot" promos stink because they almost always cross the line to "All this other shit is fake, but this is real ", which sucks. But they danced right up to the line and didn't cross it. And Cena getting laid out was perfect. The main event was pretty sloppy and contrived. That spot on the floor stunk, it was followed by another flub in the ring, and the ref bump spot was terrible. I did like the double DQ angle with the guest ref. I haven't seen that in awhile. Ziggy Posted April 1 Posted April 1 Rhea Ripley is one of the most over people in the territory but the booking of this Triple threat match has her booked as such an unlikable heel. I'm sure that isn't the company's intention but its impossible to like her in this feud. I'm pretty sure once this is over Rheas going to good back to being the strong dominant face that's she's been uptil now but it kinda reminds me of Bret Hart being the whiney babyface before he eventually turned Heel. Im sure that match is going to be good though that's the only thing that's keeping me from completely shitting on the build to it 2

The main event tonight had everyone looking like either an asshole or an idiot. I'm not sure who to even root for. I suppose Iyo? She has probably been the least offensive of the three. 1

I feel like this needs to happen, especially with him burning the candle at both ends by pimping his retirement merch even while he buries the fans for buying it to begin with. 1

I think it was meant to be snuck out of, just not botched to that extent.

With that said, this is how Nikkita needs to wrestle, she's bigger than most of the women on the roster and with her knee injuries, the super athletic stuff is probably out considering what's happened to her. Also she's only 25 so plenty of time left.

Not sure if it's pivot or intentional progression: first Cena addresses the audience on the point of the heel turn, which wasn't great, and now Cena goes at/addresses Cody on the point of the heel . I guess if it's intentional progression the next step for Cena would be addressing the Rock connection to the match/heel turn, which I think is a weaker point than the Cody reasons imo, but hopefully I'm wrong.
