Dewar Posted March 21 Posted March 21 CONCACAF officials are still somehow worse than my co-ed indoor soccer league refs that get paid 30 bucks a game. Canada/USA in the 3rd place game of the CONCACAF Nations League, just like we all predicted.

Raziel Posted March 25 Posted March 25 Today I learned that in addition to live Serie A and UEFA games, Paramount+ also has some EFL and SPFL games live. I need to pay more attention.
Dolfan in NYC Posted March 26 Author Posted March 26 Happy to report my old man is enjoying his retirement and is currently in Barranquilla watching Paraguay hopefully get their asses kicked by Colombia.
odessasteps Posted March 26 Posted March 26 Tim Vickery said brazils 4-1 loss to Argentina was a worse loss than the 7-1 WC loss to Germany. Thats not good.
The Natural Posted March 27 Posted March 27 Damn the cunts who damaged the Valley Parade Fire Memorial. Evil bastards. 1
The Natural Posted March 29 Posted March 29 Last week Bradford City beat Colchester United 4-1 in League 2 attendance. It was their highest ever attendance in League 2: 23,381 fans. 22,625 Bradford City and 756 Colchester. On Boxing Day last year, Bradford City were in 10th place and 15 behind league leaders Walsall. Bradford City are now second, one point behind Walsall with 8 games left. You always want promotion but it would be particularly poignant as it's the 40th Anniversary of the Valley Parade Fire Disaster. 2
odessasteps Posted March 30 Posted March 30 Up the Eagles. Kinda disappointed we won’t get a Palace/Brighton FA Cup semi final.

RIPPA Posted April 3 Posted April 3 The US will host the 2031 Women's World Cup while the 2035 Women's World Cup will be hosted by the United Kingdom Basic usual scam that FIFA has been doing (and the IOC have been doing with the Olympics too) where each year is only getting "one valid bidder"
The Natural Posted April 4 Posted April 4 Tottenham's lowest Premier League finish remains 15th in 1994 under manager Ossie Ardiles - when survival was only ensured in their penultimate match. They have now lost 16 league games this season - their record in a 20-team league is 19, set in 2003-04. Since the Premier League's inception in 1992, only six times have Spurs lost 16 or more league matches in a campaign. Spurs' lowest points tally in a Premier League season - and in fact since three points for a win was introduced in 1981 - is 44. They need 11 points from their final eight games to pass that tally. With 16 defeats in 30 matches, Spurs' loss percentage this season is 53% - and they haven't lost more than half of their league matches over a whole season since 1934-35. They lost exactly half of their league matches in 1953-94, 1974-75, 1976-77 - when they were relegated - and 2003-04. Postecoglou has only won 44 points from his past 39 league matches in charge - stretching back over the end of last season.
The Natural Posted April 5 Posted April 5 (edited) Luton Town 1-1 Leeds United in the Championship. It's one win in six for Leeds now and they will end the weekend outside the top two in the Championship. Daniel Farke's side slip to third for the first time since November. Luton are 23rd in the league. Sorry, AxB. Edited April 5 by The Natural

Stefanie Sparkleface Posted April 5 Posted April 5 Just now, The Natural said: Yeah, there's always a cursed kit. People are like "silly Stefanie, the yellow kits aren't cursed". WELL YOU EXPLAIN HAVING A 11-9 ADVANTAGE AND STILL LOSING THEN. YOU EXPLAIN IT. I THINK IT'S THE KITS. 1
odessasteps Posted April 6 Posted April 6 Not sure if today’s result was Iran beating Iraq or vice versa. Just glad I was in the car and not hearing the updates until it was over.
Pete Posted April 6 Posted April 6 Southampton are officially the earliest relegated Prem club after losing 3-1 at Spurs. Just a brutal run for them. 1

The Natural Posted April 7 Posted April 7 (edited) 14 hours ago, Pete said: Southampton are officially the earliest relegated Prem club after losing 3-1 at Spurs. Just a brutal run for them. Southampton have reached an agreement with manager Ivan Juric to leave following relegation from the Premier League on Sunday. Horror stats here: Earliest relegation in Premier League history with 8 games left. Tottenham 3-1 Southampton was Southampton's 25th league loss. Southampton are on 10 points. Derby County have the lowest tally of 11. Ivan's spell in charge, 107 days is the 9th shortest reign as a manager in Premier League history. One victory in the Premier League under Juric, a 2-1 triumph at Ipswich. Southampton sat nine points adrift of safety when Juric walked through the doors but Sunday's loss against Spurs left them 22 points shy of 17th placed Wolverhampton Wanderers. Southampton are only the third team to lose as many as 25 of their first 31 games of a top-flight campaign after Sunderland in 2005-06 and Sheffield United in 2020-21. Both also 25. Southampton have conceded the most goals in the league, 74 and are the lowest scorers in the top four divisions of English football, 23 goals in 31 games. Edited April 7 by The Natural
