odessasteps Posted January 22 Posted January 22 Man, the Ravens fans are salty here, and boy do they think the playoffs are a work and the Cheifs are Bruno/Flair/Cena/Roman.

If football was a work, the two places that wouldn't have godawful teams almost every year are New York City and Chicago. They have three teams that are terrible with very little optimism in the case of two of them. If the fix was in, they'd make it worth their while. You don't cheat on an exam to make a C- if you can help it.

odessasteps Posted January 22 Posted January 22 Plus, if sports were a work, it would have leaked y now, more than just the occasional throwing a game or point shaving scandal.
Elsalvajeloco Posted January 22 Posted January 22 You will know the fix is in truly if random folks connected to the NFL start ending up like Carbone in the meat truck in Goodfellas. Gotta tie up those loose ends. 1 1
BloodyChamp Posted January 22 Posted January 22 Rigged is a stretch but there’s funny business in football IMO. I’m in this snow in Florida and I don’t know how they play football in it wow. This is real snow and ice/icicles too. Not the snow we’ve had before that was gone by 3 PM. It’s 1:38 PM and the water just started dripping from the icicles. The snow on the ground hasn’t changed and they say we’re getting more which has also never happened that I know of. It only ever snowed once then no more.
Tabe Posted January 22 Posted January 22 Since 2021, KC has played 11 playoff games. Their opponents have had more penalties in 10 of the 11 games. In the 11th, the teams tied. Soccer 2022, KC has benefited from 5 roughing the passer calls in playoff games. Their opponents have gotten none. 2
odessasteps Posted January 23 Posted January 23 I know at least 2 friends posting that picture of a ref wearing Chiefs colors. Hard to tell how serious they were.
hammerva Posted January 23 Posted January 23 (edited) I don't know how good of a mayor she has been but damn I am surprised they didn't drag her out of the office by her feet after this. By the way, Washington did make a shirt of this Edited January 23 by hammerva 2
BloodyChamp Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Is that the same woman from WCW Nitro who the fans chanted, very clearly with no noise mixed in, “nasty”? That was 1 of the alltime clustereffs in WCW history, forgotten only because it didn’t involve a wrestler.

Craig H Posted January 24 Posted January 24 Not to mention with Eli Manning as QB in each of those. But the end to the perfect season is one of the best Super Bowls I've seen. I imagine that's the case for a lot of folks.
Brian Fowler Posted January 25 Posted January 25 Washington linebacker Frankie Luvu has been fined nearly $17,000 for his head and neck area hit blocking Jared Goff. Luvu has also been fined another nearly $17,000 for his hip drop tackle is Jahmyr Gibbs. No flags were thrown on either play he says without any bitterness at all, no sir.

Yeah, the NFL isn’t completely a work, obviously, but they absolutely push their stars and nudge things in certain directions. Half serious here: there’s something funny about a team called The Patriots getting favorable calls and winning it all after 9/11.

It’s been going on for a long time. And there’s usually something like 40 other things going on in the game besides what it’s named after. I mean the only thing that didn’t happen in those 2 games was the ref shooting somebody to keep them from scoring. And the whole season if you ask me about the 2009 Saints, starting as soon as they skipped a beat late in the season vs the Redskins. I swear it’s like they told the Redskins to quit trying in that game. Then the Saints still fooled around and lost 2 games at the end which I also swear led somebody to tell the Vikings to throw the Bears game at the end so the Saints wouldn’t lose home field. BloodyChamp Posted January 26 Posted January 26 So I don’t know who will win this first game or who to pull for. It will just be sad for whoever loses. I’m leaning towards pulling for the Eagles because of how many people are ripping Hurts for his limitations in a world where nobody said jack about Brees or Rodgers for years of clear limitations that lost alot of big games. They even rip similar others who are less successful, alot less than they do him it seems like. Cousins, Tua etc.
