Dionate Johnson has been waived by Houston.

4 teams in 1 year.  Great job, Diontae!

He was Carolina's leading receiver before being traded to the Ravens.

Now, the Texans have told him to "don't go away mad, just go away"

"Following the Texans' wild-card playoff victory over the Los Angeles Chargers on Saturday, Johnson was visibly upset in the locker room. He was fully dressed sitting at his locker staring in frustration because of a lack of playing time and targets. Running back Joe Mixon and linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair tried to comfort and encourage him."

Sounds like a total headcase, not sure why any team would be interested in him next year. Too much talent around to deal with how he seems to be.

This has apparently not deterred Atlanta nor Indianapolis.  They will both interview him for their open DC positions.

These same two teams are also interviewing Wink Martindale for the DC position

No.

He finally figured out the college game in time to beat Ohio State and Alabama, the NFL can't have him back now

Tomlin really should have been tossed already. I think they just have forgotten how to fire coaches in Pittsburgh

Since the salary cap era started the Steelers model has been compete for the division title/get into the playoffs, that’s what Tomlin has done and so did Cowher before him, the Rooney’s aren’t going to make any drastic changes. I think Tomlin is going to retire when his contract is up in 2 years, when he does Art Rooney II will hire another young DC who’s offensive philosophy is run first, same thing his grandfather did when hiring Chuck Noll and his father did when he hired Cowher and Tomlin.

How much of a clown do you have to be to get waived during the playoffs? Good lord.

He's a weird mishmash of underachieving and overachieving. Feels like he should have won more with Ben but to win 10 games with Justin Fields and the corpse of Russell Wilson at QB is pretty remarkable.

Welp, this seems to open the door to Al Golden now. I expect we'll probably hear something as early as Tuesday.

I have a friend who is a huge Steelers fan and he's been wishing they'd fire Tomlin for years.  They're in a no win situation, because as long as he's the coach they are going to be competitive, but it will also make it next to impossible to address the quarterback problems that ultimately put a hard ceiling on their chance to contend.  The odds of them replacing him with someone better is next to zero, so what do you do?

Dallas is apparently going to bring in Robert Saleh for an interview.  Yes, to be their head coach.

Watching the Hard Knocks show this week after the wild card to like waterboarding unless you are a Ravens fan.    I mean based on the clips you think the Steelers preparing for the Ravens by watching the game that they won instead of the one they lost.   Just a lot of catch phrase and slogans as well.

I hope this isn't the last year of the division version of In season Hard Knocks.  I thought the concept was great although it helped that it was in one of the best division this year.  Maybe if they want the chaos do the AFC East next year

The Jets and Dolphins were the subjects last year, so, nah that's not happening.

Saleh is probably a better coach than what we think based on the fact that they were better with Zach Wilson than with Aaron Rodgers.  Winning 7 games in back to back seasons with that roster is an achievement.

The Steelers getting to the playoffs was the achievement.  The Ravens despite their record is pretty clearly the best team in the league by all advance stats.  They are a juggernaut, the Steelers were going to lose unless the Ravens decided to not go to the game.  The Ravens are better than them at literally everything.

Hearing stories about Arthur Smith being interviewed by the Bears and let me just say as a Steelers fan I think this is great idea by the Bears and should really think about it.

The thing I want most from a coach is constant questions about whether any of our best players are actually good.  Using Bijan Robinson as a decoy is the very definition of coaching genius.

This isn't really surprising but Aaron Rodgers said today on his Pat McAfee appearance that his decision whether to return to the Jets or not will depend on who they hire as HC/GM

Which is basically means if they don't hire Mike McCarthy - he is gone

And I think I mentioned earlier, Miami is 'hosting' the NFL's first Madrid game (Sergio Bernabéu Stadium).

This is official now as the NFL announced it this morning

Folks in Washington are convinced they are going to be the opponent as they are supposed to play at Miami next season and they haven't played an international game since 2016 (that being said - I can't imagine Miami would be thrilled about giving up Jayden Daniels first game in their stadium)
