dogwelder Posted January 7 Posted January 7 Ok, which RR would be worse, Ron Rivera or Rex Ryan? Fuck, throw Rob Ryan and Roman Reigns into the mix too.
Tabe Posted January 7 Posted January 7 Mike McDaniel strongly implied that Tyreek took himself out of the game yesterday, AKA quit.

Dolfan in NYC Posted January 7 Posted January 7 The Jets are really going through their Rolodex.... They've asked SF for permission to interview my AP English classmate, Brian Griese 1

RIPPA Posted January 7 Author Posted January 7 Seahawks fired OC Ryan Grubb since I guess they had to blame someone for not making the playoffs
RIPPA Posted January 7 Author Posted January 7 Titans have fired GM Ran Carthon Brian Callahan will keep his job as HC
BloodyChamp Posted January 7 Posted January 7 (edited) Brian Dabol is the biggest idiot and fraud, overshadowed only by the Urban Meyers and Robert Salehs types we’ve seen lately. I’m no Daniel Jones fan but he was scapegoated by a hack just like Eli was when he was benched. Rex Ryan could be a good coach if they just sat him down and said we’re drafting the quarterback and you’re not running the offense but that’ll happened as soon as Bill Belichik, who would also still be a good coach, agrees to the same thing. Arthur Smith??? Good gosh man. He’s whatever you call the Martyball that comes after Martyball. Then as soon as they got to the goal line he’d mess it up like Darell Bevel. I couldn’t even finish the 1:59 I think was clip of Mike McD. Poor dude. I don’t know what’s wrong with Doug Pederson either. He always suddenly looks like he’s about to have a stroke at the first sign of trouble. He’s also overshadowed only by Urban Meyer in that regard. Edited January 7 by BloodyChamp
Cobra Commander Posted January 7 Posted January 7 And the Patriots will he complying with the Rooney Rule by interviewing Byron Leftwich before hiring Mike Vrabel
BloodyChamp Posted January 7 Posted January 7 I know it was bad there in New England but I don’t know if it was fire coach after 1 year bad. With that said Vrabel is probably a way better coach even if he’s not perfect. If they want somebody who won’t crap media gaffes he’s it too.
Cobra Commander Posted January 7 Posted January 7 (edited) that Christmas game was pretty much the peak of Pierce with the Raiders, and Pierce got fired before he could implement the Mahomes rules Edited January 7 by Cobra Commander
Cobra Commander Posted January 8 Posted January 8 Jerruh won't let the Bears interview Mike McCarthy until his contract expires next week
Kevin Wilson Posted January 8 Posted January 8 I don't follow the Raiders enough to have an overly informed opinion but Pierce didn't seem to be a complete dumpster fire like Urban Meyer to only get one season and it wasn't his fault the Raiders didn't trade up to get a QB in the draft. And lost Jacobs. No coach was winning with that roster and as a first time coach they knew what they were getting and there may be some growing pains. And the thing is, what legitimate coaching prospect would be dying to go to a team like the Raiders or Jets, knowing they may not get a fair chance and the owners are part of the problem? So it just continues the cycle, they can only get mid or lower tier coaching prospects or former coaches desperate for another try, they fail, repeat. 2
BloodyChamp Posted January 8 Posted January 8 I’m a huge Pete Carroll fan but he is WASHED. What a mistake if they do that. I agree about the Raiders. It’s as bad there as it was at the end with Al.
Dolfan in NYC Posted January 8 Posted January 8 Oh don't kid yourself about the Raiders, it can always get much, much worse. I'll guarantee you there's some tech bro sitting in an office right now trying to figure out how to con Mark Davis into hiring an AI head coach. 2
Cobra Commander Posted January 8 Posted January 8 at least Al Davis was a football coach at one time in his life.. I'd think his kid that inherited the team doesn't have a good idea about how to build a team
BloodyChamp Posted January 8 Posted January 8 I respect Al Davis don’t get me wrong. He just got washed is all. Like Pete Carroll. Like we all will 1 day. 1

The only Raider coach who has been head coach beyond 5 full years is literally only Madden and Flores. Gruden is 4th at exactly 4 years (the first time) and 5th at 3.Whatever (the last time). It's always been this way, which is why it's been 30 years and 3 cities of only getting guys who can't get in anywhere else because it only ever worked back in the 70s when Al was a way smarter GM than everyone else in football and so had great enough rosters to make it worth dealing with him. Once he lost his fastball AND his Superior Strategy became How Everyone Does Things, the edge was gone. (Also Pete Rozelle deliberately meddled in the 1983 draft to prevent Al from trading up to draft John Elway because Rozelle and Davis eternally hated each other, but that's a tale for another time) 2

Pretty much this. Pearce seemed to be in a touch over his head but I mean...there was nothing around him to support him, there were no players. My guess is, since Pearce was not a hire by the Brady Grift Syndicate he was a dead man walking once Brady finally "bought in" (just going to assume that is a Jeter-like buy in to ownership where his own money is not at stake). Brady Grift Syndicate was always going to clean house/or talk Mark Davis into such. Whether Telesco at GM gets it to is a matter of who approved him before getting hired. Look, let's not kid ourselves with the - what coach would want this? OMG! The Raiderz R the Suck! jazz. It's one of the 30 most precious football jobs out there. Some kid would gladly take it since worst case, no one is going to blame him for failure. But they really need to get it right for once - meaning, no Dieon. But whatever happens, one draft and one good GM/coach is not going to fix things. For love of god, they are still paying for the sins of the Gruden 2.0/Mayock disaster.
Cobra Commander Posted January 8 Posted January 8 Meanwhile there’s rumors of some teams wanting Belichick to bail on UNC and return to the NFL. Including the Raiders
