odessasteps Posted February 13 Posted February 13 When I was in the comics shop a few weeks ago, I was talking to the owner about random stuff and we ended up talking about Lebatard’s radio show. I told him I used to be a big fan years ago and even visited the studio when they were at 590. So I went home and checked my archives and I had like 100 episodes of the radio from the mid 2000s (pre NWO Heat, which is when I stopped listening). I gave him a thumb drive with them on there last week but I havent talked to him since then to see if he’s listened yet.
Brian Fowler Posted February 14 Posted February 14 Youtube and CBS have come to a short-term agreement to keep the network on the service. No word on how long yet, but I presume at least through The Masters and March Madness.
Brian Fowler Posted February 16 Posted February 16 And now Paramount and YouTube have come to a full new deal. Crisis averted.

Gonzo Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Per The Athletic, ESPN and Major League Baseball have mutually agreed to opt out of their television deal after this season. They had a 1 March deadline to opt out of the deal, which was supposed to run through 2028. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6149921/2025/02/20/mlb-espn-opt-out-tv-deal/
RIPPA Posted February 21 Author Posted February 21 Basically ESPN was pissed the MLB was giving games to places like Apple and MLB was pissed that ESPN didn’t cover baseball
Raziel Posted February 22 Posted February 22 So, looks like MLB.tv is covering the 5 RSN's that died last year offering streaming packages for those 5 teams with no blackouts (PERISH THE THOUGHT!). And they offer SNY. Given how annoying using NBA League Pass has been (it defaults to Home feed and the games that do offer the away feed are near impossible to find it) and fucking NHL Blackout rules (and I FUCKING REFUSE to give Dolan $30 a month for MSG standalone), I applaud how easy it is to watch MLB.
RIPPA Posted February 27 Author Posted February 27 https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/jordan-schultz-verbally-accosted-ian-rapoport-at-a-starbucks-in-indianapolis Quote Per multiple sources who witnessed the interaction, Jordan Schultz of Fox and Ian Rapport of NFL Media engaged in a verbal altercation on Wednesday afternoon at the Starbucks at the JW Marriott in Indianapolis. Schultz, we’re told, accosted Rapoport. The incident first came to widespread light when PFT Commenter (a/k/a Eric Sollenberger . . . a/k/a the twin brother of the late Eric Sollenberger) posted a tweet on Wednesday night that referred to a “serious big time media confrontation” between a “two NFL newsbreakers.” The tweet sparked much speculation and an effort to get to the bottom of the situation. --------------- The catalyst, by all appearances, was Schultz’s Wednesday report that Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford recently met with Raiders minority owner Tom Brady in Montana. Rapoport downplayed the report as a chance, unplanned meeting. Schultz dismissed the notion that it was a random encounter between Brady and Rapoport.

Are people really trying to tell me that two NFL quarterbacks just happened to be walking through the grocery store in Montana and saw each other on some, "fancy seeing you here," type shit? 2

Yeah, there is absolutely no chance it was accidental or unplanned. 1
Brian Fowler Posted February 27 Posted February 27 Yeah I would potentially buy the idea they bumped into each other in Vegas, L.A., New York... But in Montana? Where there's less than ten people per square mile? That would be an all-time amazing coincidence.
