Courier saved my ass on hitting a page number in college once. I have no idea why I wasn’t called out on it cause in New Times  Roman I was only like halfway to the right amount

Courier New and Times New Roman are both accepted in APA style because they're highly-legible serif fonts.

Were you writing in APA style, perhaps?

The randomness was why I loved TNM, who doesn't want to see Jimmy Del Ray eliminate 10 guys win a big Battle Royal! Sir Mo and Stevie Richards were multiple time tag champs in one of my promotions, can't remember how they became a team but they were almost unbeatable on PPV's.

I had a promotion probably 20 years ago where the team of Charlie Haas and Bison Smith were unbeatable.

That was one of my favorite quirks - whatever IRC channel I was part of would do matchups of created wrestlers, so I'd just give mine only chokeholds, clawholds and headlocks for their moves; the opponent would be drained to 0% within a minute and then a simple impact finisher like a body slam would end it.

If it's good enough for Nailz, by golly it's good enough for you.

That’s probable, I had a lot of professor who preferred APA, but I had to use MLA a lot  as well and one professor (who was also my advisor) was strictly Chicago.

Comic Sans or nothing at all.

There was this upscale local wine seller in a wealthy neighborhood near me that had its name written in Comic Sans on the sign, like right next to their classy illustration of cup and vine.

They're out of business now, and they went out of business before the free money spigot at the Fed got turned off, so I think it comes down solely to that sign as the reason for their demise.

Comic Sans implies the existence of Comic Serif.

I am sure this will end up in every thread but I am lazy

The funniest/best outcome to this is Cena ending 2025 having beaten Flair's 17 world titles by winning the TNA and WWE World titles.

Call me crazy but I'd be super into TNA Champion Dolph vs Cena at Mania. I actually think the match would be better than what we'll get with Cena vs Cody.

My first boss in my current field wrote all her emails in Comic Sans.  Most passive aggressive thing imaginable.  It’s like being chewed out by the Care Bears.

The thing about Comic Sans is, it's become this hated font because it's associated with childlike whimsy. But the actual comic book lettering it's based on, Dave Gibbons' work on Watchmen, is neither childlike nor whimsical.

Not whimsical to you...

It’s also apparently a highly legible font for visually impaired people.

My favorite thing about the WWE/TNA announcement is how straight out WWE says “NXT and TNA cross-promotion”

I assume it’s basically the same thing as the WWE/Evolve deal from back in the day.

Makes even more sense as to why TNA was lowballing some of their older talent on new contracts recently. They’ve got interns coming to fill out the roster.

When I was doing the Masks Mats and Mayhem podcast and people were actually buying out shirts, I wanted to do a MMM Always Pounding Ass shirt but nobody else wanted to do it.

At least I got the Fuck You We are Jado and Gedo parody shirt with me on it and wasn't the only person that bought any.

I'm surprised that none of the big bootleg shops that are out there haven't done a boot of that shirt. All that is out there is a shitty Redbubble design. (Jado and Gedo shirt)

I'm just waiting for a decent bootleg of the Alexander Otsuka Charlie Brown shirt.
