The opening with Jimmy and Roman was good. I like that they are going in gradually the lighter/humanization aspects with Roman. He isn't just magically a babyface now.

Knight/Hayes was solid.

Dug the KO interruption and the attempt to keep him and Cody separate. Randy catching a stray and retaliating with a punch to KO was great. Just loved that shocked look on KO's face. Orton being the voice of reason in this budding feud is neat to see. Having KO turn on him is also a good to actually assure Owens gets heel heat. If it was just Cody I think things would be a pinch murkier despite likely still working out.

Lash/Jakara vs. Bianca/Jade was more of a quick showcase for the Meta2 before Chelsea kind of screwed things up allowed Bianca and Jade to comeback quick and strong for the win. Nothing bad here, but I wish this was more of an actual match since Lash and Jakara have shown to be a pretty solid team when they get the chance in NXT.

The Nia/Naomi/Liv segment leading into Nia/Naomi was actually solid. What we got of the match itself was pretty neat though PiP was definitely missed here. The interference from Stratton, Raquel, & Liv was well done, and I liked Rhea popping up post match to get some licks in. Don;t care for the Crown Jewel stuff, but I do like that they aren't leaving the regular ongoing feuds behind during the build. Nia and Naomi work well together so hopefully this leads to them running it again with the title on the line.

Jimmy/Solo was pretty solid though probably could have used 5 less minutes. Solo has been a great trash talker and does well drinking in the audience's hate. Jimmy is a perfectly competent FIP. The post match beatdown by Solo's Bloodline with Jimmy again pushing that help is needed was good. This whole thing is a nice humbling of Roman that is necessary to make sense of Jey or anyone else not named Jimmy Uso to be willing to work with him again.

Solid wrestling and solid segments with some decent build and storytelling all around. Good show. Looking forward to MCMG's debut next week.

Man I tried to watch this too last night and it didn't click either. Guess I'm just not interested in Jade Cargill or LA Knight or Jimmy Uso or Nia Jax matches.

Really fun but bizarre Sol v Tatum on Main Event this week, where they both step right up to the line of comically overselling dizziness.

Interesting that Tatum was on both the C shows this week, as she also beat Kali Armstrong on LVLUP. It was a decent match by the standards of "brand new college recruit match." Armstrong tears the head off a naked Barbie-style doll that I guess Paxley gave to a kid in the front row to get heat. Paxley wins with her Psycho Twist or whatever it's called.

The other match, presumably the last match to air from the pre-CW Performance Center set, was Mark Coffey and Wolfgang vs Shiloh Hill and Stupid Cutler James, who has promised to MOW GALLUS'S LAWN! My serious irrational hatred of James has subsided a bit since he got new pants, but this match didn't really hold my attention.

It's even better - that was Paxley's mother, watching her wrestle for the first time. Kali was also susprisingly polished, I thought.

(Also Tatum seems to be going a bit more Wednesday Addams in her presentation, and the crowd played along by chanting the Addams Family theme at her. )

Honestly, pretty much every woman they debut looks pretty solid these days. The Breakout tournament, if they do one this year, should be loaded.

Armstrong reminds me a little of Jaida Parker in that she doesn't do a ton of stuff, but what she does looks good (and adding moves is the easiest part of development). She also runs the ropes well, which is kind of rare for the NXT women...

Unfortunately, her promo before her debut a few weeks ago was really bad, but hopefully that was just nerves.

I would also reconsider the color of her gear, black on black doesn't really pop.

I’m glad I’m not the only one that doesn’t get shy Nia is talked about like she’s improved so much. To me she’s still a terrible in ring performer and much like Jimmy Uso only getting a push due to her moronic relative being on the company’s board and demanding everything he can since Endeavor lets him.
