Dolfan in NYC Posted October 7 Posted October 7 I hate the world today. You're so good to me, I know, but I can't change. Tried to tell you but you look at me like maybe, I'm an angel underneath... Innocent and sweet. And that's Bad Blood in the books. We got a TON of returns, and a lot lot LOT of storyline movement. Not the least of which was CM Punk and Drew McIntyre earning every bit of their lofty paychecks in a very very bloody cell match.  Yesterday I cried, you must have been relieved to see the softer side. I can understand how you'd be so confused, I don't envy you... And then there was Raquel Rodriguez coming in to destroy everything in her path. Most notably Rhea Ripley. Good long term story too as Rhea put her out before and now the chickens have come home to roost.  I'm a bitch, I'm a lover, I'm a child, I'm a mother... I'm a sinner, I'm a saint, I do not feel ashamed! But of course, the big thing was the FINAL BOSS~ coming out to just out aura everyone. I hope he isn't a Bitch and does WarGames in a month! (I've had this stupid joke in my head for like 3 weeks, I needed it out.) Have a good week! 3
The Natural Posted October 7 Posted October 7 I'm looking forward to Gunther vs. Sami Zayn on RAW for Gunther's World Heavyweight Championship. Still wish it was on the Bad Blood PLE last Saturday so it wasn't broken up by adverts, commercials as you Americans know them as ;). Hope it gets good time.
StuntmanCrowley Posted October 7 Posted October 7 (edited) The Rock carrying that belt is just lame on so many levels.  I know it's not likely to happen but I'd love to see Sami win tonight. Have Sami be the only person who has Gunthers number would be omething. I predicted yesterday in the Bad Blood thread and Iâll do it again here. Sami will win tonight, because it allows them to do Goldberg vs Gunther at Crown Jewel. Otherwise itâs Gunther vs Cody, and I canât see them running Goldberg vs Gunther anywhere but Saudi Arabia (as the prince that pays for the shows loves Goldberg). 1
StuntmanCrowley Posted October 7 Posted October 7 Goldberg being on Saudi shows is the best option for me because I never watch them lol so I'm hoping you;re 100% right. 2

Iâve only ever seen parts of them and itâs usually in the highlight packages on TV. Or I think I did watch the one with Roman vs Logan Paul, but literally only that match.Â

Alternative, especially if they don't want to put Goldberg over Gunther, if that Goldberg does up at Crown Jewel to spear Gunther and help Cody win. I would say I would be surprised if they take the belt off Gunther this soon but I also would have said the same thing about Bron. NoFistsJustFlips Posted October 7 Posted October 7 I'd actually like the unpredictability of Sami winning the title. But ain't no way. Goldberg shows up in Saudi to cost Gunther (and protect him) and they'll run Goldberg's retirement match against Gunther at The Rumble.
NoFistsJustFlips Posted October 7 Posted October 7 Also (as I've complained about with AEW as well) there's... TOO MANY BELTS. Wwe mens, WWE women's, worlds men's, worlds women's, ic, us, world tag, wwe tag, women's tag, men's speed, women's speed, men's crown jewel, women's crown jewel, men's nxt, women's nxt, men's north American, womens north american, nxt tag. 19 belts is way too many. Get off my lawn.
The Natural Posted October 7 Posted October 7 I can't see Gunther losing the World Heavyweight Championship so soon to Sami Zayn. We'll see shortly.

Eivion Posted October 7 Posted October 7 Yeah I don't really agree with there being too many belts when they are separated between 3 rosters. Love Sami, but I don't want him to win here. Just hoping he and Gunther gets good time. 1

Stefanie Sparkleface Posted October 7 Posted October 7 Technically with the shine in Pete Dunne's hair, shouldn't he be a futch? 1 1
For Great Justice Posted October 8 Posted October 8 If you were to tell me that Gunther was the best wrestler in the world, I wouldnât necessarily say you were wrong Two hours rules 4
Eivion Posted October 8 Posted October 8 The opening with Punk and Seth could have been tad shorter but was solid. Jey/Woods was decent but felt a bit short with the finish coming in so quickly after Woods had been dominating most of the match. Feels like there was a better match to be had here. Sheamus/Dunne was good as usual with the plunder being well used. Thought they did well to give Dunne good moments despite the loss. Nattie/Lyra/Zelina/Katana/Kayden vs. Sonya/Shayna/Zoey/Alba/Isla was decent fun with them going for the chaotic feel early. Still this didn;t get nearly enough time to be come something memorable. Sami/Gunther built into something damn good by the end. No bad matches with 2 of 4 being quite good and well worth catching in Sheamus/Dunne and Sami/Gunther. The segments were solid and didn't overstay there welcome outside of arguably the first for a few minutes. With the third hour gone this was one of the easiest Raws to catch in a while. Even when good that third hour just made the show feel dragged out. Solid show overall with some decent build for whats to come over the next few weeks. 3

He's obviously facing Cody for the Universal title. I want to see someone throw it in the river or destroy it like Mr Perfect did Hulks title. The fans would eat that up. I didn't like him carrying that belt around at first but I actually think it makes him more of a delusional heel. 3
Greggulator Posted October 8 Posted October 8 Sami/Gunther was absolutely fantastic. Nobody makes me jump out of my seat like babyface Propoghandi fan Sami. Great 2.9 after the first powerbomb. The one count and Guntherâs look of utter disbelief had me flipping out. I thought for sure Sami was going to survive the sleeper (great camera angle to show the âjust inches awayâ rope grab) but for not. Samiâs the best in-ring babyface of the century. He sells perfectly and knows how to turn that into comebacks that make you always think heâs going to pull out the win. Gunther is of course masterful in all aspects of pro wrestling but I was especially impressed with how well he did arrogance to lack of confidence to shock to smugness with his facial expressions and body language. I love how he sits on the mat like heâs thinking things through. Fits him so well. Great main event. The Sheamus/Pete Dunne match was a great, very stiff garbage brawl. Theyâve been very big lately on having one big spot on every show â it helps make things viral and get passed along and potentially driving interest. The table spot of the whiskey barrels was really imaginative. I love professional wrestling. 8
blitzkrieg Posted October 8 Posted October 8 I liked that they had Punk come out and do his victory promo while also selling the effects of the cage. Both him and Drew probably could use a rest after that. I don't think we see Punk till after Crown Jewel. Bleeding that into Seth was great. I felt like Seth could have skipped the Bad Blood rundown because it made his issues with Bronson seem secondary. Bleeding Seth into Jey was interesting, which makes me wonder if they do go with an OG Bloodline reunion for Survivor Series if we get newfound friction afterward. The slow build on Xavier's (potential) heel turn seems to be working as him and Kofi get completely different reactions from the crowd now. Xavier looked a lot better in the ring this week than last up until he slipped on a banana peel eat a superkick and got pinned by Jey. Did not expect Bron's Spear Party, so guess he's not as done with Jey as it felt like last week. Sheamus and Pete Dunne was a fun brawl. The White Noise off the barrels was crazy. The zipties were unexpected even if they didn't factor into things that much. Do hope that Dunne and Sheamus are done with each other for the near future and that Dunne can move onto something else. The 10-women tag match is very much where I kind of missed the three hour format. It was paced well for the time that they had but they probably would have gotten more on a three hour show. Great tv main event between Gunther and Sheamus. Sami is the best scrappy babyface in modern wrestling and Gunther is the premier wrestler's wrestler today. Gunther dominating with a sleeperhold in 2024 really feels like one of the testaments to it being a new day in the WWE. Still plenty of fertile ground for Zayn/Gunther III. Do like that there's a solid chance that the Women's Tag Titles main event next week's show. 1
