Tabe Posted October 1 Posted October 1 In case it's not clear, Serena is joking and they are, in fact, not related.
EVA Posted October 1 Posted October 1 I won’t repost it here to avoid spamming the thread with the same clip, but if you’re a member of this board, you MUST hear the Japanese radio call of that play. The announcers go off like it’s the finish of a Tokyo Dome main event.
RIPPA Posted October 1 Posted October 1 UTEP is joining the Mountain West (The Gonzaga to the Pac 12 is in the basketball thread)
RIPPA Posted October 2 Posted October 2 Apparently Texas St has told the Mountain West thanks but no thanks even going so far to tell the Sun Belt that they aren't leaving
Brian Fowler Posted October 2 Posted October 2 I can only think of one other time in recent history we got a rematch of the previous year's national title as just a regular season game (Bama vs LSU in 2012) and boy it's hard to believe just how little hype there is for this one. Granted, having new head coaches on both sides plus only about seven or eight starters back total across the two teams (and nearly all of them on Michigan) will do that. Also, kinda interesting seeing a team ranked in the top ten as an underdog to an unranked team.
hammerva Posted October 5 Posted October 5 So either Missouri is definitely not a top 10 team or Texas A&M is much better than barely top 25 cause this has been a whooping
EVA Posted October 5 Posted October 5 There were suspicions Mizzou was fugazi based in their last couple of results, but whoooo boy.

Brian Fowler Posted October 5 Posted October 5 (edited) All off-season, I felt like every time Missouri came up I was taking crazy pills. Everyone seemed so sure losing Cody Schrader didn't matter much, and I thought he was basically the main reason they won most of the games they won last year. I'm feeling a bit vindicated, though TAMU is never the team I expect to expose frauds. Edited October 5 by Brian Fowler
Robert C Posted October 5 Posted October 5 Alabama/Vanderbilt playing out exactly like everybody expected so far.

hammerva Posted October 5 Posted October 5 I don't know when Oklahoma State became completely lifeless and a shitty defense but I am definitely here for it today
EVA Posted October 5 Posted October 5 I almost wrote about Vandy as a potential trap game for Bama this morning. This is basically like playing a triple option team. Really tough matchup after a brutal, emotional game last week. That said, the interception return TD was about as random as it gets, and Vandy got bailed out of 4th down by two oddball penalties on the current drive.
EVA Posted October 5 Posted October 5 Apparently we don’t know what a catch is in college football anymore.
Brian Fowler Posted October 5 Posted October 5 I fully expect Bama to play a lot better in the second half, but if Vandy gets into the end zone again before the half, that gets interesting.
RIPPA Posted October 5 Posted October 5 I saw someone joke about this earlier but considering how good both teams are this year Army/Navy should be a play-in game into the playoffs
hammerva Posted October 5 Posted October 5 A 4-0 Rutgers vs 4-1 Nebraska is not something I expected to see in a very long time.
EVA Posted October 5 Posted October 5 Players get called cheat codes all the time, but…Ryan Williams is a cheat code.

Brian Fowler Posted October 5 Posted October 5 Progress on the Plains (well, they were in Athens but still.) Peyton Thorne played the whole game and didn't throw a single pick. They still lost by 18, but it's something.
