Dolfan in NYC Posted September 2 Posted September 2 Day-o, day-o... Daylight come and me wan' go home... So, we've had two pretty decent PLE's from the WWE this last weekend, and though not much changed title wise, we did find out that Black Girl Magic is stronger than any other magic out there. Bianca Bel Air and Jade Cargill keep postponing their eventual feud as they've won back the women's tag straps! Work all night on a drink of rum, daylight come and me wan' go home... We now start on the road to the return of Bad Blood! And your Dolfan is hitting the road too! I'll be in the UK for the next week and other ports of call the week after, so we're gonna do a one time only (* - til the next time) TWO WEEK THREAD~! Come, mister tally man, tally me banana. Daylight come and me wan' go home! Come, mister tally man, tally me banana... Daylight come and me wan' go home! I can't imagine anything significant happening like SmackDown changing networks or something! Guess we'll just have to see! See everyone again soon! 2
DragonZombie Posted September 2 Posted September 2 Looks like Odyssey Jones might be done with WWE. He was removed off the RAW roster page.
hammerva Posted September 2 Posted September 2 Well given the surprise thar he was back after nothing for about 2 years, this seems likely. Although people were also reporting this weekend that Omos was released and thar proved completely fake

As in, the guy who is currently causing the New Day to break up? Weird.

Considering it's Tessitore's first night on RAW, I'm expecting someone to accidentally say 'Joe Hendry' when talking about him. Too bad R-Truth is still 'injured' because he'd be the perfect guy for that. 1

WWE has released people who recently appeared on tv before they stil do sometimes after Vince resigning. In other news, per PWInsider sez Asuka has re-signed with WWE for a new long-term contract.
just drew Posted September 3 Posted September 3 This hasn't helped with the "Trips doesn't relate to black talent" discourse on certain corners of the internets...
username Posted September 3 Posted September 3 First night of Joe Tessitore and while I think he was work to do he may be fine long term. He needs to learn to sell the excitement of some things a bit more (entrances is where it stuck out the most) he does appear to have done his homework and be aware of who everyone is and what they do which is more than one could say about some of these other prior attempted crossover commentators. 1

Don’t worry he’ll still bring in your boy Ricky Starks and push him to the moon. And why do you keep bringing up the certain corners of the internet thing? Who cares if some trolls on Twitter claim he’s racist? Yet this is at least the third time I’ve seen you mention it. 1
Eivion Posted September 3 Posted September 3 (edited) Dug the opening with Rhea and Dom along with Liv's attack. Otis/Tozawa/Maxxine vs. Julius/Brutus/Ivy was good. Plenty of nice action and good setups for Alpha Academy to impress whenever American Made was bearing don on them. Think this was the best Maxxine has probably looked yet. Was happy to see Gable make the challenge to the Wyatt Sicks. The street fight rules will be a good way to bypass the typical mixed tag rules so Ivy and Nikki can impress. Zelina/Shayna was fine. Punk's promo was solid. Drew's beatdown was great. Ilja vs. Dom vs. Dragon was solid. Good action, I dug how they had Dom exit the match, and the Ilja/Dragon segment at the end was nice despite and off moment. Io/Kairi vs. Alba/Isla was decent. Match lost some of the building momentum when poor Kairi hit the announce table on a dive. Some of the pics online look nasty though it seems like she is ok. The Sami/Gunther segment was good. Was wondering when we might finally get this match as it an obvious one given how Sami was the one to end Gunther's amazing IC reign. Braun vs. Sheamus vs. Kaiser was another solid match. Dunne's interruption should have been expected, but ended up being a nice surprise and good way to take Sheamus out during the finishing stretch. Jey/Priest vs. Finn/JD was good fun. Some nice chemistry between all involved with the Liv interference and Rhea rescue being well used. The Mixed tag and main event were the highlights match wise. The rest were at least decent and enjoyable but nothing super worthwhile. Segment wise I think Drew's beatdown on Punk won the night though I also dug the Sami/Gunther segment and Jey and Bron's backstage confrontation. All in all a solid show. RIPPA Posted September 3 Posted September 3 Both Meltzer and SRS have confirmed that Odyssey Jones is indeed done with the company. Both have heard "stories" as to why but neither has been able to confirm anything
DragonZombie Posted September 3 Posted September 3 He was removed off WWE TV because of domestic violence allegations says SRS on X.

Maybe I was more tired than I realized but Joe's voice was oddly calming to the point that it put me to sleep for an hour. That's not because he's boring or monotone yet I'm hoping he's just working out how to balance out the times to get excited. Random moment but I thought it was touching seeing Zelina find that sign about her dad and how it made her tear up the rest of the entrance. EDIT: I was hoping it wasn't for something serious but with how abrupt it was for Odyssey to be off the roster it did seem suspicious. I do wonder how soon they knew as last week New Day's promo effectively retconned it all and they're back on the same page. Edited September 3 by NikoBaltimore

Didn't expect Sami to be back so quickly which probably speaks to how little I know how stem cell therapy treatment works.
