This will sound like a copout thing to say but some cardio guys are just born with it. They’re like a woman born attractive. Ric Flair never jogged a day in his life at his own will. In other words he probably did jog or run in highschool but only because his coach made him. So with that said, whatever the story on it was, he was a GOAT cardio man.

I've heard stories of Flair putting in hours on treadmills back in the day.

I know in the 30 for 30 Flair claimed even if he didn't go to bed the night before he would always hit the gym in the morning because his goal was to be the best conditioned athlete

I always heard he was a Stairmaster guy.  Which, just…god damn.  Twice in my life, I’ve run 10 miles outdoors, which took around two hours.  I can imagine an hour or two on the Stairmaster in the 80s, no TV or anything, just climbing endless stairs and staring into space.  Even if you’re “people watching” at the gym, the novelty of that wears off.  Jesus.

Quick...someone wake up, @Matt D. His ship has come in.

We discussed it online this morning. And also here in one of the many threads where’s it’s been discussed. 😀

That is one pretty great looking undercard. The match times don't really bear it out due to the 60 minute draw that is NOT going to be part of this drop but I'm still all for seeing Bob Armstrong beat Jimmy Garvin in 30 seconds.

Flair being a stairmaster guy doesn't surprise me given he was trained by Verne and I can easily see Verne having his trainees running up and down stairs for hours as part of their conditioning.

I am so buying that Jacob Fatu shirt with the wolf on the front. It's fucking wild, within one year I'll be buying two WWE shirts that look fine in public.
I bought that Bayley tye dye they were selling a few month's ago. It's dope.

On the latest WOR Meltzer mentions that household income is up for both the AEW and WWE audiences, "way up" for WWE.  Apparently AEW had been slightly below the national average and WWE moreso.

He's talking like it's a change in audiences and WWE attracting a more affluent audience.  That could be a small part of it, but I'm thinking it has to be the result of minimum wage increases around the country, right?

The Harvard Step Test made famous by Mr. Bob Backlund made me drop a significant amount of weight: 4 stone = 56 pounds!

Good job spotting the (possible) intervening variable. More thought than Meltzer put into it, for sure.

Observer HOF ballots are out (including “Zane resoff”).

I’d encourage folks to look at work Greg Klein on jyd and Morris Sigel.

And Roy Welch should be added as an historical oversight and not need to be elected.

Was it Ricky Steamboat who said that they were indeed running up a flight of stairs, then back down and up while carrying a partner on their backs, then switch etc... when training with Verne, so yes, absolutely.

That was my absolute least favorite wrestling workout during high school, especially in the heavyweight class.
