I love the unintentional or maybe intentional play on words because of course the opposite of Wrestlemania would be Wrestledepression.  Personally I'm working on a happy medium, wrestle "feels allright as long as I can keep the dark thoughts at bay with exercise, rational self talk, and the occasional edible."

Yes, the wordplay was intentional, that's why I wanted to know if anyone else thought of it and used the WrestleMania weekend as a platform to promote a good  cause?

Ok first time seeing either. Let's do this!

Feeling out process leads to an immediate Air Raid Crash. Love it. Now Yagi has to try and shake that off while still coming out of the blocks. She does so beautifully with a German suplex. Really dig the early submission/reversal exchange, these two know each other well and want to end this quick. Stiff DDT by Yoshida! Yagi knows her leg is being targeted and is trying to keep on top of her opponent. Luckily she has a wide variety of ways to fuck up your arm and shes not afraid to use all of them. Yoshida seems a little more panicked with every attempt. Sick crossbody to the outside! Loved the visual of Yoshida getting her arm sprayed. Brandon Cutler eat your heart out. This arm work rules. Beauty extension of the top rope dropkick by Yagi. That double stomp looked like it suuuuucked to take. Finally Yoshida is tired of this shit and slaps on a reverse hangman bulldog choke that I want to see someone use on TV NOW! Yoshida is just tossing Yagi around which is impressive with one arm. Then we get a badass finish as Yoshida uses her leg and good arm for a choke and hangs on for dear life as Yagi twists her body all over the place trying to escape but just can't.

This was awesome! Reversals and arm work and submissions hurrah! 8/10 and the best bet I ever lost.

Knowing that there are some really seedy promotions/ promoters out there, this would have so many possibilities to go horribly wrong, but if done right,  it could help both fans and wrestlers alike. So: During WrestleMania Weekend (or whenever), has there ever been a WrestleDepression event?

A fundraiser to spread awareness for anyone around the business who is dealing with any number of issues that are prevalent in the business as well as society.

Now, it would be absolutely crucial that it would be promoted by someone that can be legit trusted and acting in good faith, but I'd like to believe that there would be a lot of wrestlers that were willing to participate if that was the case.

I've been talking about doing a one night event on the coast where the funds go to help people with mental issues in the state.

Working title is Ultimo Gallo's Manic Mania.

Half the matches get booked a day when I am manic. The other half I let real bookers book.

Trying to talk a buddy into wrestling under  a mask as "The Bi Polar Brawler".

Fightful is reporting that Cody Rhodes merch on Fanatics is in the Top 5.   Across ALL sports.

Not for nothing, but him being up there with Messi, Ronaldo, etc. is batshit insane.

I think Cody is a hit with little kids in a way that WWE hasn't had since maybe Hulkamania or maybe Warrior. My son loves him, and at the shows I've been to in the last year+, kids go nuts for him.

You need a buddy in a polar bear costume to work as "The Bi Polar Bear".

Cody is a real lesson on the benefits of leaving WWE in order to go back and get them to see you with fresh eyes. So is Drew Galloway, only Cody has done far better. If he'd never left and had that ROH/ NJPW run, he still would have gotten released eventually, but he'd be in the Cardona spot by then. If he'd gone back in 2019, they probably wouldn't have made him Stardust again, but I don't think they'd have made him the top top guy either. Somehow his AEW run (which was more bad than good) has allowed him to organically become everything Dusty was trying to force himself to be.

I just walked by the WWE figure display at Walmart, and man I never did expect to see a Shinsuke Nakamura, WALTER, or for sure a freakin' (sorry-not-sorry Seth) DOMINIK MYSTERIO figure.

Did you buy any of them?

I thought I'd have a crack at listing wrestlers who are cardio GOAT. I've come up with:

  • Bryan Danielson.
  • Bret Hart.
  • Ric Flair.
  • Ricky Steamboat.
  • Nick Bockwinkle.
  • Samoa Joe especially for a big man.
  • WALTER/Gunther.
  • Kurt Angle.
  • Claudio Castagnoli.
  • Bob Backlund.
  • Kazuchika Okada.
  • Kenny Omega.
  • Chris Benoit.
  • Will Ospreay.
  • Zack Sabre Jr.
  • Dolph Ziggler.
  • Roderick Strong.
  • Seth Rollins.
  • Finn Balor.

What do you think? Probably missing someone obvious.

Greg Valentine comes to mind as does Barry Windham. Both guys at their peak just could go on forever it seemed. He and Flair started doing 90 minute time limit matches in 87 because they kept working those 69 minute draws.

Also, Harley Race. Flair said he worked more 60 minute matches against Harley than any other opponent.

It’s interesting to add a size element to this, which also takes me to Windham. That dude is an all time “built in a pro wrestling lab” guy. Physically anyway.

Who’s the biggest dude with the biggest gas tank? Hansen, what Vader could do at 400 was impressive.

Thank you both.

For Great Justice: I'd add The Undertaker to the big dudes with great cardio.
