Dolfan in NYC Posted August 26 Posted August 26 Standing there alone, the ship is waiting. All systems are go, "Are you sure?" Guten tag from Germany! Bash in Berlin is this Saturday and we've got our new World Champion's first defense! Also a fun and friendship defense of the WWE Championship, which I'm sure is going to lead to some hurt feelings! Control is not convinced, but the computer has the evidence, no need to abort. The countdown starts... Tonight however, we've got Raw and it's a sausage fest! Big meaty men slapping meat indeed! Four, three, two, one! Earth below us, drifting, falling, floating weightless, calling, calling home! And after BiB we've got No Mercy on Sunday! Big week for WWE ahead! Enjoy the week! 2
Greggulator Posted August 27 Posted August 27 Major props to Chad Gable. The guy is hitting it out of the park with all of his character work with The Wyatts. He does such a great job of being an overconfident jock but the second something doesn’t go right — the crowd chanting “You Suck” to something in the ring — he makes some really fun facial expressions and changes his posture a bit to reveal just how insecure he really is. He’s an amazing storyteller. Bronson/Braun was something Dean (and really anyone) would have loved. Great stuff. I thought the Miz/Woods/Bruiserweight three-way was put together really well with Miz and even X doing some sneaky stuff to try and steal the win, only for Dunne to do it best. 3
Phantom Lord Posted August 27 Posted August 27 I watched most of RAW tonight. Mostly wanted to see Bronson vs. BRAUN and I was not disappointed. I loved the match with them trading hoss moves on each other. The ending was hilarious though with the TSUNAMI onto the roof of a car. All the windows blowing out and the little sparks and smoke from the engine. It was so over the top it was great. Uncle Howdy vs. Chad Gable was good. Chad Gable delivers anytime he's asked to in a big situation and tonight was a big one. Uncle Howdy didn't seem too hokey, which has been a fear i have for the character. I look forward to more of the Wyatt's and American Made feuding. 1
username Posted August 27 Posted August 27 Appreciate Woods doing the Sid nods before and during his match. 1

Eivion Posted August 27 Posted August 27 Dug the opening segment and subsequent match between Judgement Day & LWO. Dom getting another win over Rey via Liv's help was good to see. Io/Kairi vs. Shayna/Zoey was fine. Drew's promo and eventual brawl with Punk was solid. Thought both of the triple threats for the IC contender tournament were solid but nothing special. Dug the Dunne/Woods/Miz variant the most of the two. Reed/Strowman was the battle of monster we needed with a no contest finish but perfect ending with the parking lot brawl. We need this to happen again with a bigger and more receptive crowd. The two deserve it with what they brought to the table here. Howdy/Gable was a pretty solid tv main event. Both guys looked good with Howdy bumping around well but keeping some human element instead the Fiend like qualities I think many feared when this started months ago. Solid show show building to Bash and some of what comes next. The 8-man tag and Howdy/Gable were decent standouts though the battle of monsters between Braun and Bronson was easily the winner for tonight. I just hope we get a rematch with a proper end in the next month or two. 3
Chaos Posted August 27 Posted August 27 I know there was some smoke and mirrors involved, but it's definitely impressive that Bo was able to work a near 15 minute match due to it being his first match since 2019 and first singles since 2018. (I referenced Cagematch. I don't know if he ever worked any indies). 1
DragonZombie Posted August 28 Posted August 28 I will post the final Smackdown on FOX rating after the run ends next month. Time flies so fast.
hammerva Posted August 28 Posted August 28 Good to see Rosemary get her WWE moment tonight as Wendy Choo surprise. Hopefully not a one time thing 2
Iron Moose Posted August 28 Posted August 28 Perfectly fine NXT last night. Kind of wondering if the mystery person at the end of the Jaida/Roxy promo was Rosemary, rather than being one of the impending Big Three Women's Signings. Have never seen her before, seemed interesting enough. Fraxiom got real dickish. I think the tag going a few minutes longer might have been a good call, it felt like the crowd was really into it and it was on the verge of building into something special. The bit with Dunne talking to the camera at the end was interesting, and the positioning of Trick as special guest ref feels like it points to Page retaining, which is a bit of a letdown. 1
Eivion Posted August 28 Posted August 28 Lash/Jakara vs. Fallon/Jacy started off well, but lost steam after Fallon got hurt a pinch from Jakara's dive. it came back together ok, but never hti the same level as the first half. Izzi vs. Karmen was a solid showcase for both women. Would have preferred Izzi won, but they still seem to lack any direction for her aside from bully. Stacks/Crusifino/Rizzo vs. Dempsey/Myles/Wren was solid. Would have preferred a NQCC win, but I assume this eventually sets up Stacks or Luca challenging Dempsey for the Cup. Rosemary/Kelani was decent though the two didn't have great chemistry. Still, I wouldn't mind seeing more of Rosemary around if only for something different. I like the idea of her and dark Wendy being allies. Brooks/Malik was a decent spurt to showcase Malik a bit on his own before the inevitable loss to Brooks. It was good seeing Malik fired up and bringing the fight to Brooks. Evans vs. Joe Coffey was another solid match. The finale with Hendry's concert, Page's interruption, and Trick being named guest ref all went down generally well. Nothing blow away match wise though everything was decent-solid and enjoyable. The mixed tag or Evans/Coffey were probably the highlights though I think I enjoyed Izzi/Karmen the most. I just enjoy seeing rookies progress. The build to No Mercy was all over the show and done well so a solid show overall. 3

What I would like to see on Sunday is that Dunne tries to take out Trick but Sheamus shows up and stops him, mostly because I think it's sort of idiotic that Dunne's in two separate storylines and there's no crossover between them. Like, why hasn't Dunne gone after Ridge? Shouldn't Sheamus know that Dunne's at the PC every Tuesday? I have a feeling that everyone expects Page to win with help from Josh Alexander, so they may actually have Hendry win just to shake things up (and maybe Nic Nemeth shows up to stop Alexander to play into their upcoming TNA title match) 2
Curt McGirt Posted August 28 Posted August 28 Re: The TNA thing, Jessicka Havoc being a women's Vader would be cool. 2
Greggulator Posted August 28 Posted August 28 Hell yeah to Rosemary getting some NXT time. The only TNA I have ever watched has been her form of evil and chaos. Great performer in terms of her commitment to the bit. 1
The Comedian Posted August 28 Posted August 28 Yo son there was a period there for a while where Rosemary was carrying TNA on her back. I fucking love Rosemary. She deserves more exposure. 6
DreamBroken Posted August 29 Posted August 29 Wren Sinclair is the best. Didn't take long for her personality to start shining in NXT. Been loving her segments with NQCC, especially last week's. Also enjoyed the women's gauntlet. Sol Ruca looked good, loved the finish spot on Wren. Was surprised Jaida went over for the match with Roxanne, but dug their little sitdown interview segment this week. Cool to see Rosemary get a few minutes there, though I wish they kept more of the focus on Tatum Pax still rather than Wendy. Karmen is another I've been enjoying a lot. 4
Eivion Posted August 31 Posted August 31 Knight/Kaiser was probably more than decent, but it just felt too weird seeing Kaiser treated as face by a crowd. Corbin/Crews vs. Legado del Fantasma was good. The Garza cousins are always good, and Corbin/Apollo continue to have way better chemistry as team than it feels like they should have. Hayes/Andrade IV was good once again with a nice hot start and some great big moves getting thrown out as the match went on. Kind of dug the finish and the tup made earlier in the match for it. As good as these matches have been I do hope they end it as a Best of 5 series with the next/last one being 2/3 falls or an Iron Man match. Nia/Mia was a solid plunder match. Tiffany's interference towards the end was fun, and it was good to see Bayley return. Thought the matches were generally solid-good with the tag and Hayes/Andrade IV standing out. Skipped the big Cody/KO segment but was ok with the other segments and promos. Solid show. 3
