AxB Posted July 25 Posted July 25 Officially (in kayfabe) Daniel Garcia has nerve damage and may never wrestle again. In reality, allegedly his contract is expiring and he is open to to exploring his options. Allegedly.

EVA Posted July 25 Posted July 25 Wiki is being weirdly slow, then, because it was clearly and unequivocally announce last night.

RazorbladeKiss87 Posted July 26 Posted July 26 I'd like to see Willow and Stat have a big blow-off on this but I can't see it sadly. Would love the visual of a packed Wembley going nuts for Willow. I'm almost worried for Jungle Boy and Darby. Their feud has had so much violence already that I think they'll want to escalate it even more. I'm a sicko blood thirsty freak but I don't want to see anyone's career end either, ya know?
Kevin Wilson Posted July 26 Posted July 26 Dolfan trusting wikipedia over AEW programming about upcoming AEW matches for some reason is really funny to me. Also, TK booked Mone vs. Baker today for All In. To the surprise of no one of course. 1

That feels like a likely All Out match to me. They have to save some current storylines for All Out since they can't book all new stories in the two weeks between shows, so I assume some will bleed over to then. 5
The Natural Posted July 26 Posted July 26 Looking forward to Swerve Strickland vs. Bryan Danielson hoping Bryan Danielson wins the big one there, the AEW World Championship but readying myself he won't. Matches I'm most interested in going on the Wikipedia entry: 5. Jack Perry vs. Darby Allin. 4. Mercedes Mone vs. Britt Baker. 3. Timeless Toni Storm vs. Mariah May. 2. MJF vs. Will Ospreay. 1. Swerve Strickland vs. Bryan Danielson. So far it's one of the best cards this year. I could see Will Ospreay vs. MJF adding PAC so two Brits get a big title match. However I think it'll stay with Ospreay/MJF. I thought Young Bucks vs. The Acclaimed might add FTR but I can see Young Bucks vs. FTR V for All Out instead. Guessing we'll get Kazuchika Okada vs. Hangman Adam Page here.

Hopefully they'll get a renewed focus in the coming weeks. I want them to have a match that's better than the one they had on a pre-show earlier this year. 1

This also assumes Dolfan watches AEW every week and doesn't just catch up later because he's usually busy on Wednesdays. And Wiki got updated last night, so we're updated. In general if one is ever are asked, what is something the internet actually gets right... it's probably Wikipedia. Here's a repository of human knowledge that can be updated by any person at all, in real time. Everything, absolutely everything, we've seen over the last twenty five years indicates that there's no way this thing should work. But generally, there's no better source of high-level information about anything you can possibly think of, than Wikipedia. To paraphrase Die Hard.... You ask the internet for miracles... I give you Wikipedia.

Just adding to your points (which I fully agree with) that All Out was actually like, a sneaky good show last year - I could definitely see either match being the low-key show stealer kinda like Miro/Hobbs Grand Slam might even be a better choice than All Out for the women, tbh - both are Long Islanders, and everyone was really bummed the year we didn't get to see Stat beat Jade because of her wheel, so I could see us being a great crowd to run that for. Ya know, for the promotion and both ladies' sake, not just cause I wanna be in the house for it... No selfishness in this comment, no sireee... 1

Plus it's not likely they're going to put three women's matches on the main PPV. What promotion do you think we're talking about here?

Ah yeah, I'm with you, but this is a tough one - obviously in terms of importance, I don't love the preshow relegation, but at the same time, if that means getting four women's matches throughout the entirety of the night with two on the main card, I think overall that's a net positive
Sex Machine Gun Posted July 27 Posted July 27 Please please PLEASE do the right thing and strap up Danielson. The guy wants to keep putting others over? Fine, let him win due to Hangman interference so he doesn't beat Swerve totally clean. It's been nearly three years since Danielson came to AEW and if a former WWE guy was going to get the big belt it should be him. I couldn't understand why him and Kenny did the draw finish at Grand Slam 2021 just to never have a rematch. Then BCC happened and a bunch of "dream matches" (sorry everyone, I never know who any Puro or Lucha guys are when they're brought in for one-offs) and there's been enough farting around by now. It's time. 6 1

It's time. This. This. This. Bryan Danielson is so selfless, I really hope he wins the AEW World Championship. If Danielson says no, override him. Say if Danielson doesn't want it, he can have a short reign if need be. Sucks we never got the Bryan Danielson vs. Kenny Omega AEW Grand Slam Dynamite 2021 rematch. 2

All I ask is we get Danielson/Joe at some point. They may have clashed on the 2000s indies (maybe? you all know better than me)but now we've got the bright lights and whatnot to make it a big deal. 3

Agreed. Bryan Danielson has wrestled Samoa Joe before. The two most famous matches were ROH Midnight Express Reunion 2004 and ROH Fight of the Century 2006 and yes, it needs to happen again.
StuntmanCrowley Posted July 27 Posted July 27 This would absolutely be the perfect time to crown Danielson and give him his "Gold Watch" moment. Especially, as mentioned, you have a built in "excuse" with Hangman/Swerve right there and those two have so much animosity they don't need the belt to carry it. I know it's been rumored that Okada/Hangman is happening, but with all of the JArrett interaction, I wouldn't mind if they ran back Hangman/JJ at Wembley. 3
