Dolfan in NYC Posted July 9 Posted July 9 We're in the homestretch now for the WWE's Biggest Party of the Summer . Welcome to Ohio's best city! (F U Cincinnati!) Live from Cleveland Browns Stadium, it's SummerSlam! THE CARD~ FOR THE UNDISPUTED WWE CHAMPIONSHIP - Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Solo Sikoa FOR THE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP - Damien Priest (c) vs. König GUNTHER aus dem Hause Hahn, Erster seines Namens FOR THE WWE WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP - Bayley (c) vs. Queen Nia, of House Jax, First of Her Name FOR THE WOMEN'S WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP - Liv Morgan (c) vs. Rhea Ripley FOR THE UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP - Logan Paul (c) vs. LA Knight (yeah) FOR THE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP - Sami Zayn (c) vs. Bron Breakker CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre ** -- ** - Seth F. Rollins will serve as Special Guest Referee 2
The Natural Posted July 9 Posted July 9 Gunther HAS to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at and do for it what he did the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Goes on an epic reign building the belt up. Roman Reigns returns to confront Solo Sikoa after he loses to Cody Rhodes and gets a massive pop. Rather see CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre than a Triple Threat with Seth Rollins. The build towards Punk vs. McIntyre has been great especially with Drew doing his best ever work.

EDIT: I also think bloodline wars takes off there with maybe Uso/GoD happening there. Edited July 9 by Chaos 1
Raziel Posted July 9 Posted July 9 If I were still a betting man, I'd put a significant amount of money on a Roman return here to start World War Bloodline. 2

Team Roman vs Team Solo is the obvious choice for men's War Games and it'll be goofy as hell if they just trot Roman out at Bad Blood or later 1

I'd think kickstarting this feud at Summerslam would be the perfect way to set up a Survivor Series match against the two factions. If Wargames is after that, then the heels could get the first win via some shenanigans to set up Wargames. 1

hammerva Posted August 1 Posted August 1 (edited) In terms of people who I think HAS to win, I think LA Knight has to win the title against Logan Paul or his momentum will really start to evaporate and he will become just another mid carder. I also believe that Drew has to be beat Punk but there is some wiggle room where you can give CM his win and still make look Drew strong. Given that Seth is the ref I think it would be smart if Drew was the one who benefited from some shady shit Edited August 1 by hammerva
Shartnado Posted August 1 Posted August 1 That looks like an interesting card. Fresh matches, hopefully with the right outcomes. Also, artist formerly known as WALTER should stay away from the artist formerly known as Twitter or I'll end up never seeing his coronation in a few years.
hammerva Posted August 1 Posted August 1 And if there was any more reason that LA Knight should win this weekend, Logan Paul dumb ass comments on Twitter. Need to send his ass to the UFC where the fanbase would worship him 1
The Natural Posted August 2 Posted August 2 (edited) Looking forward to Gunther vs. Damien Priest, CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre, Sami Zayn vs. Bron Breakker and hopefully the return of Roman Reigns. Edited August 3 by The Natural
StuntmanCrowley Posted August 2 Posted August 2 Drew McIntyre is on such a different level, he has me excited for something that involves CM Punk and Seth Rollins. 2
Sex Machine Gun Posted August 3 Posted August 3 When was the last time a major star like Punk went so long after their debut/return for a promotion before their first singles match? It has to have been a long-ass while. Dude came back to WWE last November, now he's finally having a one on one match the first week of August. Am I forgetting something he did pre-Rumble? 1

Depends on if you want to count house shows. He wrestled Dom at MSG. 1
hammerva Posted August 3 Posted August 3 (edited) I mean Mercedes Mone didn't have her first AEW singles march until a good 3 months because of injuries. Wasn't Bret Hart first WCW match a good 2 months after the Screw job But excluding house shows, it is a good year gap for Punk in singles Edited August 3 by hammerva 2
The Natural Posted August 3 Posted August 3 Not sure if I'm watching live or not. Might just catch the replay and try and get a good night's sleep instead as this chest infection has buggered my Cerebral Palsy. 1
The Natural Posted August 3 Posted August 3 https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=yLLMM4XZUR8 CM Punk interview. 1
The Natural Posted August 3 Posted August 3 I hope CM Punk gets through this unscathed. In the space of two years: Broke his foot in AEW. Tore his triceps in AEW. Tore his triceps in WWE. 2
hammerva Posted August 3 Posted August 3 (edited) So Cody vs Solo is now a Bloodline rules match. Yeah I am even more positive our tribal chief will return This 3 hour pre-show has been mostly just a complete waste of time but they did have a great interview with Seth Rollins in it. Rollins explaining why he hates both of them so much and that he can be completely impartial because there isn't a good thing about either one of them. Really did set up Rollins in his next feud perfectly Edited August 3 by hammerva 1
hammerva Posted August 3 Posted August 3 Drew has mostly hit homers against CM Punk on social media but man Punker just hit a grand slam in the bottom of the 9th on this one. And I thought the Logan Paul photo with that loser would be the best. 1 2

I haven't been watching the weekly TV so I just saw the Gunther promo about how everyone else is a goofy with no respect for the ring and title. I'm going to be honest, if you're a serious fan of wrestling, this man should be the babyface. It's like Josh Alexander in TNA. 1
Cobra Commander Posted August 4 Posted August 4 Things I remember from Summerslam Dom looks like a cholo Sonny Bono. Dom goes with Liv and she retains Bron is a champ LA Knight is a champ. No more spots with Logan Paul's dumbass friends? Nia Jax is a champ for some reason. Tiffy almost cashed in Drew beats CM Punk because CM Punk was being stupid Gunther is a champ, Judgment Day is going byebye Jellyroll has a better chokeslam than 911 (thanks to Theory) Arn Anderson is around Cody is still the champ but that main event was basically the Wrestlemania main event without as many star cameos. Roman Reigns is back to be a babyface. Jacob Fatu's leg might not work anymore.
hammerva Posted August 4 Posted August 4 (edited) I am not sure what to think of Punk vs Drew and Gunther vs Priest. A great match and the right person won in both cases. But that finish was kind of dumb. At least Cole & Graves kind of admitted that being obsessed with that damn bracelet cost him the match and deserved to lose. I guess when Dom turned on Rhea we should have know Balor would turn on Priest Man I really hope that Fatu isn't hurt. I think we saw from that run-in you HAVE to keep Fatu in the tag team for it to be even tolerable Edited August 4 by hammerva 1
Cobra Commander Posted August 4 Posted August 4 without looking at the replay over and over... I think Fatu ran his tibia into the edge of that table on the splash
